Shame on me for not doing my reseach, but I knew I'd read this author's work before. What I didn't realize is that this book continues a storyline from 2 others I've enjoyed. What a pleasant surprise! This story deconstructs flawed Christians, people with SERIOUS issues, not goody-too-shoe, "holier than thou" folks. It tells of their shortcomings and growth. In some ways, it helped me appreciate the real power of forgiveness, salvation and God's love for us despite our wrongdoings. The narrator was AMAZING with her range of voices and the author's storytelling was SUPERB. Thank you for giving us an entertaining production.
Was really hesitant to buy another Curtis Black audiobook but I can definitely say this was the best one so far. Plenty twists and turns that really kept me on my toes. I guess I'll make this series one of my must buys again.
The storyline of this book is truly one to remember. The beginning dragged on a bit and it didn't start picking up speed until close to the end of it. Overall the ending was very nice and the cliffhangers were amazing to say the least. Definitely mixed feelings on this one.
Makes getting thru rush hour much easier. Downloading the next book now. Somebody needs to shake Charlotte. Although it was a 'picture' perfect ending, you know the drama will continue with The Good Reverend Black and Family.
I really enjoyed the end of the story and how the started to twist and turn. Never a dull moment when it comes to the good ole Rev. Black and Charlotte.
This one wasn't the best but I understand that in the series you will have some lulls. I will say this author is brilliant!!! I am on to the next book in the series! I'm so excited!!!
