Pretty good

My first encounter with Kimberly Lawson Roby
This was a well written book. The characters are vibrant and full of life. The situations the characters face are believable. Jaw dropping events. I agree, Kimberla Lawson Roby is the queen of redemption.

Loved the Story but…
This book and story were very enjoyable (though the writing could be better!), but the narration was awful. I could barely enjoy the story while listening to the voices. Some were ok, but I definitely didn’t like the children’s voices or some of the mother’s voices. This one is better read vs. listening to.

Good story, but the performance wasn’t that great.
I would give this book about 3.5 stars. I think I would have given it a 4 if the performance was better. One narrator was over the top and it was almost unbearable to listen to. I love this author though and will continue to support her work.
