*THIS IS THE ENTIRE COLLECTION OF THE SIMONE SERIES, BOOKS 1-5*
All my life, I've been a man-magnet. Everywhere I go, guys drop at my feet. After all, I have a perfect body, insatiable sex drive, and a razor wit. I'm also modest (can't you tell?). Trouble is, I've never been lucky in love. I only attract guys who forget their wallets and show up to dates wearing #@%#-stained clothes. With my best friend's wedding around the corner, I finally decide enough is enough. I'm not only going to find the perfect date to her wedding, but I'm going to find Mr. Right: a gorgeous man with a great sense of humor, a chiseled bod, talent in bed, and a big...(ahem) wallet. Is that too much to ask? If all goes right, my quest will lead me into the arms of my perfect match...or will it?
*Book 1 (The Billionaire):* Simone meets a mysterious and charming billionaire who sweeps her off her feet. He might just be her perfect date...and more. But does he have a secret side?*Book 2 (The Billionaire Revealed):* Simone discovers the billionaire's secret, and it could be a deal breaker. Luckily, there's a sexy, down-to-earth cowboy waiting in the wings. But will his big, er...hat be enough to keep her interested? *Book 3 (The Cowboy):* The sexy, truck-obsessed cowboy knows how to dance and woo the ladies, especially Simone. Unfortunately, he's also hiding his true self. Will Simone discover who he really is before she gives her heart? Or does their romance go up in flames? *Book 4 (The Cop):* Just when Simone least expects it, she meets a handsome, virile cop who has eyes only for her. He's attentive, devoted, and always has his big gun cocked and ready. He rocks her world while making her his own...but does his obsession go too far? *Book 5 (The Attorney):* Simone has finally found the perfect man to take to her best friend's wedding: an attorney who makes her feel so good it should be against the law. But when lovers from both their pasts show up, will that threaten what they've begun to build?

I haven't read the print version, but I loved the audio version. I picked this up after listening to CARPE DiEMILY, which continues Simone's adventures. CARPE DiEMILY is one of the funniest books I've ever read, so I didn't know if this one would measure up. It did, and then some. I loved how this book wrapped up, leading right into CARPE DiEMILY. The author did a good job of tying the two books together. Both books are strong in story, humor, and characterization.
All of the characters were great: Simone, the billionaire, the cop, the cowboy (OMG, just wait until you get to that book!), the attorney...all were done well and with realism and humor.
I enjoyed the humor in this book. The scene with the cop, when he's surrounded by the old ladies, was hilarious. I also loved the scene with the cowboy and his "truck." I laughed so hard at that scene that my husband wanted to know what was so funny. I played it for him, and he busted out laughing, too. Then he borrowed the book to listen to on his way to work. He really liked the book and said it was very funny, so this book definitely appeals to both men and women (my guy usually only likes sci-fi, so that's saying a lot!). It helps that there were some steamy erotic scenes, LOL. Really, all of the scenes in this book were good. They just got funnier and more enjoyable as the book progressed. I grew to really like the character of Simone as the story developed. She's the entertaining friend we've all either had or wish we had!
I laughed A LOT! I love this author's humor and writing style. The narrator was great. She brought a nice dimension to the characters, and her humor was spot-on.
I liked the unexpected moments in this book, and the things I didn't see coming. This book was anything but predictable. I would say it's one of the more original, fun books I've listened to. It was over much too fast.
Witty, funny, engaging.
I loved Simone as a character. She's strong and funny with a quirky personality. I loved following her dating adventures (or, I should say, MIS-adventures) as she searches for love. This book just got funnier with each chapter as Simone keeps meeting one Mr. Wrong after another. The situations she finds herself in are hilarious! We've all had bad dates in life, and to read about Simone's unique and funny dating travails had me in stitches.
Everything. She made the characters come alive. She made this book even funnier with her creative renditions of the characters.
I would take out Simone. She would make any party a hoot! You never know what's going to come out of her mouth, LOL
This book was one of the best books I've listened to in a long time, and I listen to A LOT of audio books and am very picky. The writing and narration in this book were top notch. I enjoyed the humor, the romance, the characters, and the steamy scenes. The story moved along at a nice pace, and I never knew what was going to happen next. The characters were unique and quirky but also realistic with good back-and-forth dialogue. I would have to say that this book was unlike any book I've ever listened to. It's truly in a league of its own. 5 stars for originality and enjoyability.
The hot love scenes. As Simone would say, "Ooh-la-la!" :)
I enjoyed the verbal banter with the billionaire.
She adds depth and dimension to the characters. I really enjoyed her narration.
"Laugh until you pee your pants" and "So steamy it'll fog up your glasses."
Just an all-around fun story. I liked it so much that I'm downloading Carpe DiEmily to find out what's in store for Simone and her future. I hope the fortune teller's predictions come true!
Simone could be any one of us . Her efforts at finding true love are entertaining to say the least! Well written, and just plain good light stories with some steamier moments as you weave your way through the hilarious and sometimes scary dating episodes that is Simones lifestyle. Elizabeth Powers does an excellent narration, giving Riley's characters life and personality. Great for lonely car trips, gardening or night time listening while lying in bed. Warning though you will get hooked and it will be hard to put down!
I like the book set experiencing Siemens dates. several times I burst out laughing. Other times I was a bit disappointed. In total I enjoyed the listen.
I'm on book 2 and have yet to guffaw. I ready Carpe DiEmily by the same author and really enjoyed it but this is really disappointing. Full of tired old clichés. Whiney heroine.
I can't even explain how crappy this is. I'm SO disappointed. I was really hoping for a good laugh.
It was funny at times but annoying most of the time. I think the author went way too far. I couldn't even pretend that most if could happen. It was uncomfortable and fake.
