Smoke

This is another great book on the Jensen's. On this adventure they help a railroad tycoon clear a passage out for a railroad going over in canada. It's rough land . Rough because of weather and mountains and fighting Indians and railroad robberies. Smoke Cal and Pearly and some of there mountain man friends go and help. There is plenty of action and adventure in this one for sure. Jack Garret does a great job narraiting this book. If my review was any help will you please click the helpful link below. Thank you

Where the heck did the kids go?

Suddenly, smoke and sally are missing 5 children? They had 3 of their own and 2 adopted who have simply vanished from the storyline. I also find it weird that, after finding out he was alive, smoke would not head out to find Preacher.

The worst book that I have read.

What would have made Quest of the Mountain Man better?

Weak...extremely slow story and profoundly transparent.

What was most disappointing about William W. Johnstone’s story?

Should be recommended for children under 8.

What three words best describe Jack Garrett’s performance?

Overacting to the point of annoyance.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was angered by the one dimensional storyline. Repetition on repetition. For the love of God, Move forward.

Any additional comments?

Do not buy this book. It should not have "Mountain man" in the title. rather it should be called : Bozo the clown plays Cowboy.
