Publisher's summary

Rachel Gibson’s “eloquent prose” (Publishers Weekly) has earned the author a number of coveted awards, including the RITA, Golden Heart, and National Reader’s Choice. Nothing But Trouble features an injured, prickly Seattle Chinooks hockey player who is none too pleased to be bedridden. Taking on the unenviable taskof personal assistant to the fallen star is Chelsea Ross, a Hollywood scream queen awaiting her big break. From the jump they’re a match made in H-E-double hockey sticks, but once the gloves come off, a heated attraction threatens to melt both their resolves.

Feels good

I’ve always enjoyed book. I’ve read it twice. The narration is very fine. Even knowing how the story will end didn’t matter because the characters tell a good story.

Loved it

While not as good as other Rachel Gibson stories, I like the story overall. Could use a better and longer ending. What happened to her future and career. Well did she ever get the surgery that she wanted. Would have been nice if they just close that. Needs an epilogue.

Cute & Sexy.

What made the experience of listening to Nothing but Trouble the most enjoyable?

Witty dialogue, well developed characters and a great sense of fun make this author enjoyable to listen to/read.

A good addition to the 'sports romance' line up

Rachel Gibson always delivers a fun romance with likeable characters. Her stories often have some insights into and commentary on human nature. This story was one where a quirky but determined woman helps a grumpy and messed up hockey player get on the road to recovery as well as helping him see that there is more than one way to excel at his sport. I liked that she also got him to come out of his self absorbed funk and finally notice that other people have their own struggles and challenges.

I read this one some time ago and recently listened to in Audible format. Susan Bennett, the narrator, did a great job in bringing the characters to life.

Beautiful

I read other reviews and I was doubtful about this book, but I totally loved and enjoyed this story and the narrator. Totally recommend this for whoever wants to escape reality for a couple of hours. Thumbs up.

delicious sexual tension

I liked all the key points to this story from career ending injury, fighting depression, possible addiction, the willpower of mind over matter, to the sexal tension.

Love Battles with a Puck

I really liked this story, and I don't know anything about hockey. Neither does the heroine, but her sheer determination to keep her job is funny, as is the insight into celebrity assistant work and the inner realm of the players of pro hockey.

Good one, you will like it!

Good Read

Any additional comments?

Enjoyed this story and would listen again. The characters were adequately developed, story was predictable but satisfying, and the interaction between Mark and Chelsea was entertaining and realistic. The narrator was probably the best one I have listened to yet. Would definitely listen to this book again and probably will.

Predictable

This story has been done a thousand times before. I still enjoyed it, probably because it had a hockey theme.
