Publisher's summary

Discover the love story that captured over 20 million hearts in Me Before You, After You, and Still Me.

They had nothing in common until love gave them everything to lose...

Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life - steady boyfriend, close family - who has never been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life - big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel - and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy - but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

A Love Story for this generation, Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common - a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?

Exceptional Story!

Would you consider the audio edition of Me Before You to be better than the print version?

Audio versions of novels always add a unique facet to the story. Hearing a novel "performed" is so much more enriching for a reader. I am visually impaired and depend on the audio performers to read the story as I might see it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Me Before You?

The irony of the title...

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Clark

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!

Any additional comments?

A beautifully told story about learning to live!

Great story.

This story was well written from the development of each character to the storyline.
The subject matter is controversial but handled in a very dignified way.

As charming as Emilia Clarke

This lovely romantic comedy is perfect for some relaxed entertainment. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end and so did the narrators. Although I've seen the movie before I got to the book I have to say that in my little experience once again I can assure the book is the thousand times better than the movie without taking credit from the motion picture as I enjoyed it deeply and I actually own. Can't wait to start more books from Ms. Moyes.

GREAT BOOK!

What made the experience of listening to Me Before You the most enjoyable?

I am only halfway thru this book but absolutely love it. The narration is excellent, which I can not always say. The story is quite good and very touching as well as smart and enjoyable. I purchased the book for Kindle and added the Whispersync option so I can listen to it or read it, and it always knows where I left off. I am really going to miss this one when its over- and highly recommend it, esp the audible version.

What did you like best about this story?

Very unusual circumstances bring two completely different people together and the storyteller (main character) tells her story in such an interesting but straightforward way.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It takes place in England and the accents do take you there. However, unlike some accents, they are quite easy to pick up and get into. I especially like that there are several readers. I have not always been as pleased with the narration of the Whispersync additions to some of the books I bought on Kindle but I really like the option of reading or listening to the same book. I give this narration an A+.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

so far, a few teary moments just listening to her thoughts about a simple moment. I have no doubt there are many more to come. I have just started Part 2.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend it. Also,Its really great to have the story start up with the Bluetooth in my car, but it does make it hard to stop listening and get out of the car and on with my day- or into work!

Popular fiction with substance

Well written. Well narrated. Deals with an important issue: the right to choose to die.

One of my favorite books this year

Loved the story. Hard to stop listening.
Really enjoyed the voices of those who read. Added to the story rather than detracted from it. Would recommend this story and the audio to all.

Beautiful story, sensitive subject

As I was reading this book, I would vacillate between liking it/not sure if I liked it/back to liking it. I laughed with Louisa, thought her arrogant and pushy at times and cried for her at times. Moyes handled the ending beautifully. I can say for certain now, I liked the book very much. I can't imagine there's a movie based in the book. Don't want to see it and ruin the images I have from listening to this audiobook.
The narration was awesome! I felt like the narrators were in front of me telling me the story.
