Publisher's summary

There's no place like home...

For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells "heartbreak" like finding her husband with somebody else--in her bed. It's clearly time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she's done just that. The beautiful Auckland villa isn't really her home, though. Finn Douglas and his kids aren't really her family, however much she wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game.

Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can't resist Jenna's cooking, it's true. Who knew he'd have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what's right for his kids. But waiting is so hard...

Note: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn't your cuppa, maybe visit some other country... er, audiobook.

Another Hit by Rosalind James!

Would you consider the audio edition of Just for Now to be better than the print version?

In my opinion both are amazing and great versions. When I don't have time to sit and read it helps that I have the listening version so I can do errands on the run and listen to this book. I was recommend this book to others even if they want to find a good book with a love story thrown in that deal with real life situations that can happen.

Have you listened to any of Claire Bocking’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to the first book in this series by her and both stories are amazing and it helps that Claire Bocking does an amazing job in capturing the emotion in each story.

Any additional comments?

This book is one of my favorites in this series and I can not stop listening or reading it over and over. “I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Perfect

Would you listen to Just for Now again? Why?

Yes!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

This is my favorite book in the New Zealand series and the audio made me love it even more! I love the story of Finn & Jenna. It begins with somewhat of a dislike for one another and builds into a friendship, which then builds into a romance. I love the kids in the book and Claire Bocking brings such joy & entertainment to the characters. The enthusiasm that she has with them is so much fun! I do have to say that hearing Finn's words read by someone still doesn't do it justice as to what I imagine in my head. But it was well done! This will definitely be a book that I listen to many times! "I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Perfect continuation!

Just For Now: Escape to New Zealand is a great continuation to the series. Claire Bocking performs flawlessly - just as she did in the previous two.

I initially read the story in e-book format because I couldn't wait for Audible to get the audiobook form. I was very excited when it finally arrived since reading the book doesn't immerse you in the country or characters the way audio does. The accents and terminology are conveyed so much better when listening. You truly picture yourself in the settings and feel like you are visiting New Zealand.

Finn and Jenna are a great couple together, although I do agree with Jenna being a bit too perfect in some instances. She could be almost sickly sweet and so intelligent, calm-headed, and rational it was off-putting. Then, when the truly important time came for her to be all of those things, they fled and she acted like an immature child throwing a tantrum. Finn is wonderful, though. He's the guy any woman would want to have as a partner or father for her children. Harry and Sophie are a bit far-fetched in my mind because they are a little too perfect as well. As I was reading, I kept thinking they were much older than they were supposed to be.

Those minor issues aside, the book overall is wonderful! The story flows well and I was able to get lost in New Zealand again. I can't wait to hear more about their future in the books that follow.

Just for now is a great listen

First, I would like to say Claire Bocking does an excellent job. Her voice is very clear and very likeable. She does an excellent job of switching from reading from book to book so the characters have a unique personality and sound to them. Everyone sounds realistic, and with a romance like this that might be even more important to be able to hear the chemistry in the voices.

I have a personal theory when it comes to romance books that depending on where you are in life (married, single, divorced, parent, non-parent, etc) or your personality different books and characters will appeal to you in specific ways and to different degrees. Its one of the things that makes rereading or relistening to a book so much fun. The female protagonist Jenna is a very maternal and nurturing sort of woman, very likeable and intelligent (which I love). Even though I would normally gravitate towards a different kind of female protagonist, I found this book to be as infectious as the previous books and hard to stop listening and I found Jenna to be a very enjoyable character to follow and to root for. I respect her and I think she is one of those characters the more I think about her is one you can learn from. Finn is likeable and believable, and not too perfect but everything you could hope for in a romantic lead. I love how Rosalind James focuses on relationships-romantic, friendships, family. I am also coming to realize how much James does not gravitate towards the recent literary trend of consumerism porn where the book is littered with expensive labels and just enjoy the financial security and opportunities in a relaxed way just as Finn does.

This is the 3rd book to the series, and I fell absolutely in love with it. It is not as steamy hot with lots of sex as the others but it still has it involved with great description. This is a wonderful story about family and love. Gave some surprised too kept you on your toes! The narrator is just amazing love her story telling so much. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS BOOK!

Funny, Sweet, and HOT!

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed listening to Clarie Bocking, she did an amazing job with all the characters, especially the kids. The love scenes were done well, very sensual and hot, but sounded very realistic. I've listened to other romance books, and the sex scenes were painful to listen to. The pronunciation was spot on!

Rosalind James has another great hit with Jenna and Finn's story in Just for Now. She continues to write about real life situations, continues to introduce New Zealand in a way many of us will never get to experience, New Zealand should consider offering her a job at their tourism office, I am sure many trips have been booked after reading her books! I love that we get a little pieces of information about previous characters so we know how their story has progressed, but it doesn't take over the current story she is telling!

I so loved this book!

Any additional comments?

I have read all of Rosalind's books at least twice and now have listened to two of them and I have to admit I enjoyed them possibly more. There is something about Claire Bocking's accent and correct pronunciations made it so much more real! I highly recommend this audio version for anyone that is a fan or wants to become one. My favorite in the series!

This is an amazing series and I give this author full points for making each book special and unique. For some reason this was my favorite. I liked so much I got the audible copy. I'm so happy to find this writer. I've become addicted to audible when you find a book you love you like to re-read it over and over and audible gives it a whole other dimension.

More the same but endlessly enjoyable

Once again a an expat finds love in New Zealand with an All Black. The vocal skills of Claire Bocking and the dialogue and heart f Rosalind James are on full display in this latest installment. The marriage of Jenna McKnight ended with the discovery of her husband in bed with another man. She meets several children in a dog park and then through chance applies to become their nanny as she recovers and reestablishes her life. The initial interview goes badly as Finn Douglas, a famous member of the All Blacks, accuses her of being there to establish a relationship with him. She leaves in a huff, but the kids prevail and over time love and understanding dawns. Very predictable, but an enjoyable way to escape to New Zealand.

Good Listen

I enjoyed this book more than 1 and 2 in the series. It seems like the author listened to reviews of book 2 and didn't make a girl who had so many issues. I do wish the other characters had appeared more but it made sense as to why they didn't. looking forward to #4.
