Living under Reese Madaris' roof makes LaKenna James the envy of every woman in town. But Reese's offer of a place to stay is strictly platonic - just until Kenna's new condo is completed. He has no idea that his best friend has been attracted to him since college, and Kenna plans to keep it that way.
Ever since his cousin Blade got married, Reese has become Houston's most eligible bachelor - and a magnet for gold diggers. Reese turns to his temporary roommate for dating advice, and suddenly sees Kenna for the beautiful, voluptuous woman she is. Though Kenna's afraid to give her heart to the man who could so easily break it, when her life is in jeopardy, she'll discover just how far a Madaris man will go when love is at stake

First my name Melissa , I live in Stafford, VA. Have one son. I finished school in 1990. I'm 43 years old. My birthday is 9-19-71.
I like Pete, he did a good job. Reading the story. I like the part where they was dance together in front of his parents. And the family. Want to know where they was looking. They said why they was looking at the. That on the dance floor. I like how they come together, Love one another. One of my favorite book. By BRENDA JACKSON. She is wonderful Writing, GOD BLESSED IN SPECIAL WAY! Like the end of the story.😄😊😉😁
Lovers and Friends
Reese of course. Reese is the kind of man that a woman can appreciate. He only had eyes for McKenna, even when he didn't even know it.
Not one in particular, some of the voices he performed came out rather creepy. I'm not going to say he should stick to only male voices because the voice of Sir Drake, was scary, I didn't like it at all.
I really don't have a memorable one. It was a great book and I'm not going to spoil it for others. I will state that the killer in the book is unsuspected.
I'm going to go back to book 1 and read from the beginning of the series. I love Brenda's work. I don't think you have to read them in order but previous characters from the other books do appear in the current books.
I had read some of B. Jackson's other books, and love this one equally!!
Reese Madaris...Laid Back Sexy!!
Best Friends Tango into Best Lovers!!
I found this story both sexy and thrilling. Good job to Pete O for his articulate way of presenting the story! Love it!!
Both r good sometimes you want to listen and sometimes you want to read.
Pete ohms is an awesome narrator no matter what book he's reading
I have 31 Brenda Jackson recordings that Should say a lot!
No stone left unturned. Steamy and Hot, Mystery and Drama. I was concerned Brenda was drifting to an unknown land after I read a previous book. It seemed rushed and imcomplete. This was better.
Yes it was interesting and has just the right amount of steam, without being raunchy.
I would compare it to the Westmoreland Series. I have often said the Madari's Series lacked the steam of the Westmorelands, but this proved me wrong. Some of the previous books in the series left a lot to the imagination, but this one filled in the blanks!
No. You get used to him part way through the book. But I just don't care for him as a narrator. His voice is to deep to play the feminine roles, which tend to make him over act it out. Nobody in the book says "thing", everybody says "thang", drives me crazy. I am pretty sure this isn't Brenda, but something he added.
i dont know it was pretty good !
not another out there
deep deep deep
i dont know
