I couldn't decide whether to dislike or pity the main character, which shows how talented the author is with character development. I understood the character's motivations and felt like I was inside her head ... but I'm not foolish enough to get in such a twisted mess! Very nice production and narrator. Highly recommended!
I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book! The main character evolves and during her evolution, the listener is able to identify with her, even when her behavior is unacceptable and against her core values. All of the characters have issues that are apparent to everyone but to those who matter most. The author does it again, bringing her characters to life. The narrator does a great job and the listener finds that she or he cannot put this audio book down after listening to just one chapter!
I've never heard a audio that's better than print. I'm a reader but choose audio due to the type of work I do doing the day. Once I'm home in the evening I read only.
I love that Trudy finally saw that Ann's life wasn't perfect. That everyone lives in a glass house at least once in their life.
My first listen by Susan Spain.
Yes, indeed. I have read every Mary Monroe book and now I will listen to every Mary Monroe book.
