Publisher's summary

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist. Put New York Times best-selling authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett together...and all Hell breaks loose.

Critic reviews

"Pratchett (of Discworld fame) and Gaiman (of Sandman fame) may seem an unlikely combination, but the topic (Armageddon) of this fast-paced novel is old hat to both. Pratchett's wackiness collaborates with Gaiman's morbid humor; the result is a humanist delight to be savored and reread again and again." (Amazon.com review)

Hilarious, touching, deep

I adore this book and the reading by Martin Jarvis. Pratchett and Gaiman created a special magic that Jarvis beautifully brings to life.

Great story, bring humor with you

Otherwise you will probably be angry and completely lost in the plot.

Extremely talented narrator, great story

I love the narrator and all the personality he gave each of the characters. I always knew when someone was speaking even if it wasn't stated explicitly. The story was great from end to end, I never felt that it was slow or difficult to finish. I liked the resolution at the end and felt that most, if not all, things were addressed appropriately. All of the characters were likable, too. This was a great experience!

What’s not to love?

Wonderfully written ( did this novel come first or did the movie/tv show come first I wonder?) and cleverly narrated by Martin Jarvis.

I’ll definitely have to listen to this again. Maybe on a flight across the Atlantic or somewhere.

Imagine and enjoy!

One of my top 10 favorite books of all time.

One of my top 10 favorite books of all time. Gaiman and Pratchett make something whimsically philosophical.

Hilarious story brought to life

I’m so happy I decided to get the audiobook for Good Omens, Martin Jarvis’ reading is absolutely perfect! I’m glad I didn’t miss out of his performance. His voices really bring the characters to life. It makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the story rather than reading/listening to it. Great story, great performance.
