I love the BDB! Great story

J. R. Ward' s Blackdaggar Brotherhood has been a favorite of mine since she wrote this first story. I am grateful for so many of my favorite stories to be available in audio format. I struggle to see well enough to read as I once did. Thank you so much for having Audible. It's given me a freedom back to something I have always enjoyed. Instead of reading I am now listening.

Meh

... it didn’t live up to the hype. I enjoyed it but just wasn’t everything I thought it was going to be. I mean the vampire can get hurt? Seriously!??? Sounds like a lil bitch vampire to me. But still enjoyable read.

F the Haters

Idc what anyone else on these reviews say. Have some imagination! Jim is amazing & The characterization throughout the whole series is great. You wind up really caring for the protagonists & loathing the antagonists! It’s not just like some multi-book series where each book is a baseless love story with 0 characterization. The guys are a little rough around the edges, but they’re warriors....do you think they care about using the king’s English? I’m gonna go with no. JR Ward is hilarious - based on her sense of humor - which is a little dry & dark (the best kind), I would love to be her friend in real life. She must be extremely entertaining. There are moments of corniness, but this is PARANORMAL ROMANCE y’all, that is what you are signing up for. If you need an escape from 2020 dive in. Don’t stop @ the first book. If you’re a prude, skip them.

Story is solid but need som Editing on the audible side

I have bought and read this series on my kindle ereader and have now also enjoyed the audible version. However there are some looong silent pauses at the end of some of the chapters. Other chapters begin and continue in the same breath as the previous. But the pauses were so long I thought the app had crashed or phone had died and was very disrupting. I hope I can continue to listen to this series in my audible membership, now that ‘audible escape’ is removed as an option.

Loved!

I loved that the story finally came to life, outside of my own imagination! Jim Frangione did a great job!

I do wish that there were different voices for different characters, especially for the women. That would just make it so much more real!

I own the whole series and would recommend to anyone that’s read it, to try listening to it!

Awesome!

I really don’t know what made me give this book a chance. I have never read romance, but this book is so much more than that. It’s one of the best vampire books I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. I could have done without all the sex scenes but they are few and far in between great story, great narration, and in depth characters. Anyways if sex scenes are what you’re into then I’m sure you’ll like them. Give this book a chance it’s definitely worth the credit. Oh you can try out the romance package, I did and I paid like 7 bucks and I got the first 6 in this series for free. Can I get a boo yah wicky wicky Fook yeah!!

Worth it! I love them all

I own and have read the entire released series 2x now.... then I discovered they're on audio too! I'm very excited hear them read vs me reading again as it adds much more depth and makes them new again.
Cannot wait to listen to the rest of the audiobooks!

Entertaining but not quality reading

OK storyline. Writing style is very vulgar & choppy. Beth is our heroine but her story gets lost among all the brotherhood drama. She has some serious stuff happening & its overshadowed. The author uses the word "babe & baby" to refer to the Beth & it just brings down the quality of the writing style. The narrator was not ideal for this story. He did not bring any of the characters to life. He just read them from the page.

Love this series

You want to take a wonderful ride, listen to the entire series "I have", and it was worth the trip!!!! I have my favorites in the series but overall, I will listen to them all again. This series is worth every credit, I laughed, cried, soooooooooo, sexy it chilling, narrator nailed it! Worth every minute, plus on audible I can function while I listen.

Narrator

Loved these books and got excited when I found them on audible. Something about having a dude read through the sex scenes was such a turnoff. Narrator didn’t even attempt to use different tones or vocal inflections for each character. Such a fun read but super dull listening experience.
