Publisher's summary

Fan-adored author Joanne Fluke always satisfies the cravings of listeners who like their mysteries served with a sugary sweet confection. Hannah Swensen, like most women in Lake Eden, Minnesota, is not a fan of Ronni Ward - the man-stealing gym bunny. So when Ronni turns up lifeless in a jacuzzi - accompanied by one of Hannah's cream puffs - the long list of suspects begins with Hannah.

Enjoyed it

Recipes sound yummy. The storyline was interesting and ending was unexpected. I liked the book

Mystery and recipes

What a writer, with mystery, food, romance all rolled into one book, I read and I get hungry.

Not for me

If I’d have wanted a cookbook I’d have bought one. Wait, I didn’t buy this one, it’s in the Audible Escape program. Storyline was good but fast forwarding through ALL of those recipes was an aggravation.

Love the book, but....

I wish the chapters of the audio book matched the chapters of the book. That is frustrating and irritating. :( Also, don't care to hear swallowing of the reader.

A fun, cozy murder mystery

I've both read and listened to this book, its great. I love the whole Hannah Swenson series by Joanne Fluke. They're easy reads that are fun and cozy and while it is murder, they're pretty tame and overall pretty G rated.

The narrator was good. I just had to get used to the voices she chose/used for the characters. Maybe could use a little more enthusiasm at times.

Read for the wholesome mystery not the recipes

I started out reading the books I don’t really bake much so didn’t really try the recipes. I’ve now either read or listened to all the books.

disappointed after 11 books

This is the 11th book in this series that I've read. I'm getting tired of hearing about Hannah's "weight problems". It makes me uncomfortable about my own weight and I'm not even overweight. Mike is an absolute jerk in every book but Hannah is still crazy about him. This book was slow and I couldn't wait for the murder to happen (the victim was not very likeable). At least it had recipes!

Why are you reading recipes?

This book is a light listen during these crazy times, but why on earth are they reading recipes? I do not want to hear add 3 eggs to 1 cup of flour, etc. Not necessary for the book at all. Makes me turn the book off every time until I am somewhere that I can skip ahead.
