Publisher's summary

The Secret, Book & Scone Society: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

Miracle Springs is a place of healing. Strangers flock there hoping the natural hot springs, five-star cuisine, and renowned spa can cure their ills. And, if none of that works, they often find their way to Miracle Books, where, over a fresh-baked scone from the Gingerbread House bakery, they exchange their stories with owner Nora Pennington in return for a carefully chosen book. That's Nora's special talent: prescribing the perfect novel to ease a person's deepest pain and lighten their heaviest burden.

But when a visiting businessman reaches out to Nora for guidance, he's found dead on the train tracks before he can keep their appointment. Determined to uncover the truth behind the businessman's demise, Nora forms the Secret, Book, and Scone Society, and, as the society works to untangle the web of corruption surrounding the murder, they also discover their own courage, purpose, and a sisterhood that will carry them through every challenge.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Don't like the background music

Background music too distracting, recommend music in the places where it goes in a mystery movie!

Music?

The book was quite good but why the music? Awful! This was worse than having to see someone else’s pictures of a book! I almost couldn’t finish it!

Story line was just what I was looking for

Listen to the sample first to see if music will distract you. I hate to review a book based on the background music. The story was great. I was looking for an interesting mystery with great storytelling. This book for the bill. I looked up the reading order and plan to read all of Ellery Adams’ books eventually.

Why the music?

I was so distracted by the music that I had to put it down to take a break. Please reconsider the use of music in future productions

Disappointed

I found the music in the background very off putting.
The narrator was flat.
I took a long time to get into the story.
So overall a disappointment.

Great story but distracting music

The story and narration were great but the music was distracting and unnecessary. Still enjoyed it

Background music was distracting and didn't match the story!

I enjoyed the story - how the main characters' stories were revealed, how the women became friends, a ittle bit of romance, and healing of all varieties. But there is background music through the entire book and it's distracting and doesn't match what's going on in the story.
