grating character ok plot.

it was the ending that pushed this to a 4 star book. i had a hate love relasionship to the characters throughout, but enjoyed the simple yet complicated plot. but the ending was great.

This book hooked me from the very beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed Caroline Lee's performance. I've listened to a handful of audible books and she's been the best narrator so far. I loved all of the author's characters. The storyline is interesting, scary, funny, on point and keeps you engaged at all times. Great twists and turns. Loved this book and will be reading more of Liane Moriarty's books! I am definitely a fan!

Excellent narration and story!

With over 50 audiobooks under my belt, this one is my favorite. Caroline Lee does an amazing job with character voices. Tied in with a great story line makes this book top notch.

Binge listened! Lee's Aussie accent and delivery is pitch perfect! Great for a summer listen.

excellent story that helps inform

good story line that evolves and keeps the reader guessing. added benefit is awareness of impact of domestic violence on all parties connected to the perpetrator.

Would you listen to Big Little Lies again? Why?

Absolutely! This was such a well thought out, entertaining, and beautifully written story. I spent the past three days feeling like I was embroiled in the kindergarten politics of the story - there were several "WHATTT?????" moments throughout. Every time I thought I had reached the crux of the story, the author proved me wrong by taking me to new heights.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the surprises. There were tons of surprises that I didn't see coming until they were being revealed.

What about Caroline Lee’s performance did you like?

Caroline Lee was easy to understand and she did a great job with the voices; I knew who I was listening to with each character change.

If you could take any character from Big Little Lies out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Probably Tom. He seems like good fun. Jane seems like it would be difficult to have a chat with over dinner. Madeline - well, I used to be a Madeline, always looking for some drama, I can't stomach that now. And Celeste is too quiet. I would probably talk her ears off.

Any additional comments?

I'm curious if the HBO show can live up to the book. I have my doubts but I'll be watching. It'll be fun to revisit the story through the actors.

Great story

I love this narrator and the book kept me entertained for days. It was a bit predictable but it kept me second guessing my thoughts. I love the writing style and hope to read more from this author!

This book unravels the intricacies of every day life,personalities ,different classes ,inhibitions ,insecurities and things that happen behind closed doors where where many of us either aren't aware about or live it every day this book raises awareness in so many ways....8absolutely excellent and well written and treating captivating purely awesome!

I thought it was a great book but I different reader or more readers to give more voices would have made it better.
