Another Amazing read!

Lynn Austin has done it again. This series is so good. This book had me connecting to characters and caring for them. I didn’t want the book to end. I can’t stop listening to her books. I also really love the narrator so much.

A Light to My Path

This was a wonderful book, I listened to it on my I Pod while driving and did not want to get out of car. I study what I call Antebellium History and stories of the salves. I travel all over the south, for weeks at a time, visiting libraries, plantations etc. and it's hard to find really good books on this era, and this was good.

Exceptional details of the civil war and exceptional story line!

I have all of Lynn Austin's books in my Audiable library. This series is one of her best! She brings to life both the charters of the white slaves owner and the slaves, making you feel as though you know and love them all! She also intertwines accurate details of the civil war bringing it to life and giving you a vivid picture of what life must have been like during those horrible years during of the civil war! I was so sorry when the books ended as I felt as though I was saying goodby to friends who had come to life through Lynn's magnificent writing! If you enjoy history and a good story, get all three of the books in this series. When each book ends, they will leave you wanting more! Lynn has an exceptional talent for writing and these three books are an exceptional story all woven together!

The narrator does a wonderful job and and contributes a great deal to these books!

I enjoyed this book and love how it gives readers a fictional glimpse into the lives of slaves and their owners in the Civil War south.

LOVE this book so much.

I am now reading this for the second time. I love this series so much. I really enjoy reading books from this time period and this is one of my favorites. I love how all three book are somewhat during the same time. You get three very different views of what is going on during the same time. Its so hard to turn it off. I find myself listening to it when I need to be working. I also LOVE Christina Moore as a Narrator. When I see she is the one narrating the book I am so excited. Her voice just brings the story to life. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Poignant story

Loved this story although it was painful at times to hear how horrible the slaves were treated. Loved the reader. Such a great job!!!
