Publisher's summary

Available for the first time as an audiobook in this original Outlander novella, Diana Gabaldon reveals what really happened to Roger MacKenzie Wakefield’s parents. Orphaned during World War II, Roger believed that his mother died during the London Blitz, and that his father, an RAF pilot, was killed in combat. But in An Echo in the Bone, Roger discovers that this may not be the whole story. Now, in "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows," readers finally learn the truth.

Nice quick listen waiting for next installment

Read by a male voice with a convincing accent, this is a terrific short read to update Outlander fans on the events around Roger MacKenzie's story. Good entertainment while waiting for Diana Gabaldon to offer up the next installment in the Outlander series

Short Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because you want to know what happened to Rodger's parents.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows?

My lips are sealed.

Any additional comments?

The ending was disappointing but everyone doesn't live happily ever after.

A morse

A nice novella, and by definition, was just that. It was a morsel to fit into the patchwork story of Outlander. On the downside, why is it that we have to spend a credit to find out these tidbits? I am guessing profits, other wise they would be bundled together as a FAIR price to find out these tiny bits that perhaps should have been included in the book. Under 2 hts. for a credit?

Once again, Diana Gabaldon spins a fascinating and lush tale of history, love, fantasy and adventure. I highly recommend it.

So Much Important Info

Any additional comments?

This is another great building block to the plot of the series. It shows more of how all the characters are connected. This time it's information about Roger and his family. Each time I learn a little tidbit of info, I get excited about where the author is leading us.

Why #8.5?

I'm not sure why "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows" is book #8.5 in the Outlander series. I understand that this is a short story about Roger's parents, but how come this novella was after "Written in My Own Heart's Blood?" #8 was publish in 2014 and #8.5 was published in 2012 after "An Echo in the Bone." I'm not sure on the numbering on this one. It doesn't make sense. Shouldn't the story of Roger's parents come before #8?
