Publisher's summary

Available for the first time as an audiobook in this original Outlander novella, Diana Gabaldon reveals what really happened to Roger MacKenzie Wakefield’s parents. Orphaned during World War II, Roger believed that his mother died during the London Blitz, and that his father, an RAF pilot, was killed in combat. But in An Echo in the Bone, Roger discovers that this may not be the whole story. Now, in "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows," readers finally learn the truth.

Lovely story

Fills in some gaps in the story very nicely. The narrator was pretty good too.

wonderful series!!!

Great little story but disappointed with the accents of the narrator. After spending the entire series with Davina Porter, who is very talented, the Scottish accents seemed to be lacking. He is a good narrator and I would consider other books read by him.

Interesting follow up to Roger's story

Good short story. Interesting conclusion to the introduction of Jerry's character in the "Echo in the Bone". This gave substance to the characters of Roger's parents.

short but sweet

This book gives you closer to Rogers family....it gives you a glimpse of why he knew his father wasn't going to live longer.

Amazing novelette! Completes Roger's story!

Diana Gabaldon paints easy to imagine places, people and even different periods of time in history masterfully. I love how I can imagine the setting as she unfolds the stories!

Too short!

I wasn't ready for it to be over. I've been spoiled by the length Diana's other books. Loved how it filled in the blanks in Roger's story.

Great story!!

I wasn't too fond of the narrator, but Davina Porter is a tough act to follow. The story though, was amazing!

Slow start

And then it felt a bit rushed. But I love DG and appreciate the effort of giving us closure on that topic 💕
