excellent and straight to the heart inspiration

loved it. I am a landscaper self-employed yet very fascinated by the police work. I believe all of us as civilians can learn much from how they do their jobs and apply it to ours this was a phenomenal source of inspiration whether you're a police officer or a waiter I found that this gave me any motional boost of encouragement food for the soul and the Brain. an excellent overview of the things leaders know but always need to be reminded of. I decided to read one book a year on policing. this one would be my third. But towards the end of the book I already want to read another one that he recommended absolute worth every penny. if you're looking for something to bring your emotions up like an elevator this book is perfect. exactly what my heart mind and soul was craving as we all search for hope during hard times and renewal

A must-read for police leaders

Chief Andy Harvey knocked it out of the park with this book. This book is by far the best book on how policing should be handled that I have found. This book is a must-read for every police leader, mayor, commissioner, and police supervisor. If police departments and police officers molded their behavior after this book, we wouldn't have a crisis in law enforcement today.

A must-read for every officer!

Chief Harvey outlines his common sense approach to the obstacles we face every day in this modern, law enforcement world. These concepts will not only help us make our day to day encounters easier, but will also improve our community relations for our entire department.

Some good things to remember.

This book offers some good things to remember for law-enforcement. Has someone who is looking at becoming a police officer this offered some good information. The narration is all right, it definitely sounds like it is being read. The music they use sound makes the recording g feel a lot older than it is but the information is timeless.

Would have made a better PowerPoint.

It wasn't horrible and had some substance once you got closer to the end, but clocking in at only two hours, it was hard to deal with having most of the book sound like a preface. The cheesy chapter intro music made it feel like a workplace education video made in 1991.
