The McElroys have done it again!

These boys have taken over every corner of media and books are no exception. This book is not only entertaining but also helpful for new and upcoming podcasters.

Lot's of obvious advices, good for an entry level

Things like "be a good person" or "don't sell a t-shirt for 20 if it costs 30" are among the most obvious and less insightful tips, but besides that, there are some interesting advices aswell. An entertaining listen for sure!

Genuinly informative and funny

A very great listen wether you really intend to actually start a podcast or not.

Exactly what I was looking for

Bouncing around pod ideas for some time. This is what I needed. I will come back to this down the road to help me along the way in creating a podcast.

A good honest retelling of their success story.

I knew a good chunk of what they where saying already, but there was still some worth while nuggets of wisdom that I genuinely didn't know. A plus also was that it was entertaining. But while I feel it was an honest retelling of their story, they also promoted their shows, other books, and etc every chance they could which as someone who is listening to learn made the book sometimes feel like a bit of a cop-out.

Another great book from the McElroys

I have no intention of ever doing a podcast so the content doesn't really apply to me, but it seemed like a good overview of podcasting details that someone who does want to start would benefit from hearing. I downloaded the audio book simply because I enjoy the array of podcasts the McElroy family puts out. This book gave me the chance to enjoy more content from them and to gain an appreciation for the work all of them put in to create shows I love. If you are interested in the how-to of podcasting or simply enjoy listening to the various McElroy voices as you go about your day, this is an audio book for you.

I thought Dale Carnegie was dead

When I opened this audiobook I assumed Dale Carnegie was dead, now I am sure. Thank you boys.

Great Intro to Podcasting

I started podcasting way way back in the late 20-aughts, so I expected to be familiar with the basics, and I was. But that didn’t matter, because the McElroy family made ALL of the material engaging and entertaining. I especially enjoyed the aspects that are relevant to brand-new podcasters right now.

Also, this audiobook is great for podcast listeners who don’t really want to create a podcast themselves — they will get an excellent behind the scenes look at the work that goes into it.

HIGHLY recommended.

An entertaining listen about podcasts! 5 stars!

I really enjoy The McElroys, their voices, and their podcasts. The McElroys’ full time job is podcasting. They’ve been in the podcasting business for over ten years.

In this book, The McElroys deliver a concise master book on podcasts. As a podcast listener, it was interesting to learn about how podcasts work and exist. I liked it so much that I am listening to it again and purchased a hard copy too!

The one thing not mentioned too much in this book is The McElroys tremendous involvement with charities. They definitely give back.

Fantastic for even an experienced podcaster

Every part of this book is perfect in length, easy to understand and useful.

They break down complex concepts in a way that I've struggled to do when explaining things about recording, social media and the general point of so much of it.

I've been podcaating for years and this was a fun way to school myself on the basics again. For anyone wondering about whether to pick up the physical or audio version, do both! and audio one for yourself because audio is great. And a physical one for the person you know you want to suggest the book to. it's just harder to hand over your login info to get them to listen to it.
