Publisher's summary

He is rich and famous, and dark in ways I shouldn’t find intriguing but I do. I so do. I don't understand why his dark side appeals to me, but the attraction between us is rich with velvety promises of satisfaction....

In the best-selling style of Fifty Shades of Grey, Lisa Renee Jones delivers sexy thrills and heart-pounding sensuality with a tantalizing pause resistor in which the eyes of a high school English teacher are opened to a world she never knew existed, and she finds a passionate craving within that she never knew she possessed.

The journal comes to Sara McMillan by chance, when she inherits the key to an abandoned storage locker belonging to a woman named Rebecca. Sara can't resist peeking at the entries in the journal...and she finds a scintillating account of Rebecca' affair with an unnamed lover, a relationship drenched in ecstasy and wrapped in dark secrets.

Obsessed with discovering Rebecca' destiny after the entries come to an abrupt end, Sara does more than observe the players in the woman's life; she immerses herself in the high-stakes art gallery world Rebecca inhabited - and is magnetically drawn to two men. Which one seduced Rebecca with his masterful and commanding touch and brought her fantasies to exquisite life? On a daringly erotic escapade, Sara follows Rebecca's path to fulfill her own hidden longings. But after she tastes the forbidden pleasures Rebecca savored, will Sara be helpless to escape the same submissive fate?

Next in this thrilling new trilogy: look for Being Me and Revealing Us.

Cliff-hanger

I've had this book in my library for some time and I was determined not to listen to it until the other book in the series came out due to the previous reviews. Unfortunately I just gave into temptation. Afterall, I do have the other book pre-ordered I rationalized to myself. I have waited long enough and the other installment will be here soon. I have offically joined the club of just "WOW". I'm glad I waited as long as I did. For those of you who have listened to this one as soon as it came out I really feel for you. If you haven't got this one yet then get ready to enjoy and just be warned you will have to have the next book.

If you follow my reviews you know I prefer a particular type of book and this is my "thing". I know this series will easily make my top 10.

Art, Wine and Erotica....I loved it!

This book has been described as "mystery meets erotica" or "Fifty Shades meets Storage Wars". Either way I thought it was a great listen. Whenever I read/listen to erotic romance I always worry there will be little or no plot. That is not the case in this book. It had a great story (what would it be like to live someone else's life) and super HOT sex scenes!! (I mean very hot and intense!!!) You have to wait awhile for the sex, but that's okay because there is really good build-up to that point.

Just one note of caution....this is a trilogy and this first installment leaves us with a huge cliffhanger. I definitely thought this book was worth a credit. Excellent narration, great story and yummy sex.

If I Were You

This book has a fifty shades feel to it but more mysterious. I will continue with the next book even though I hate cliffhangers!! I am curious to know more about these characters but I am most interested to know what happened to Rebecca. This book was definitely intriguing and worth my credit.

Unfair catch, but a great story!!!!!!!!!!

This book never tells you it is going to stop in the middle of a great part. It just does. I mean it just stoped out of nowhere. I like to be told that it is part of a set, then I can make up my mind if I want to invest time to wait on next book, or invest money in a set of books. The book was great lots of twist and turns. Plus all the hot, hot, hot, did I say hot sexy stuff to keep you looking to make sure noone can see you flush bright red and turn the fan on high. It also had a great voice to go with it. BUT don't trick me into a book that needs two more that aren't out till June and Sept. I hate tricks.

Entertaining But Very Frustrating Read

The mystery serving as the premise of this book and the heroine's attempt to solve it was totally implausible. I give the author extra credit for working in the premise of a current reality TV show. And the rapidity with which the main characters connected and became attached was far fetched as well. Yet I enjoyed the book and while the mystery didn't keep me guessing and the suspense was negligible the story still had enough interesting characters and fascinating settings to be entertaining. It moved along quickly and the heroine, while annoying, was also quirky and endearing at times.

Grace Grant/Madeleine Maby has become one of my favorite narrators. I will listen to anything she narrates. She is a big reason I enjoyed the book so much.

Two complaints - first I got tired of listening to "I love him, he's perfect for me, it's just about sex, he must love me, I don't deserve him, he's crazy, I love him, he's perfect ..." The author took self-doubt to a whole new level and it got annoying quickly. You became conditioned to the fact that every time the heroine had a positive thought about the hero and their future, it would immediately be followed by doubt and insecurity, usually with no explanation as to why she couldn't hold on to one opinion for longer than 15 seconds.

Finally, the end of this book reminded me of the cliff hanger on an old two part episode of Dallas or Charlie's Angels. It was silly, and rather insulting. While I am resigned to the fact that authors can't seem to tell a story in one novel and now require a minimum of three, there is usually enough closure at the end of each book that if you don't read the next you can still be reasonably satisfied with where the book ended. That wasn't the case here and the author should have just written one long book. The ending upset me enough that rather than encouraging me to read the next book, it almost made me refuse to read it, even knowing I would probably enjoy it. If it wasn't for the narrator, I was angry enough about the ending I would have stopped and not read the second book in the series. This was not a good way to treat your readers.

Your kidding me!!!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have appreciated an ending not just a sudden stop! It ends like a traffic accident! Crash and then......?????? what?????

Any additional comments?

I don't mind a book ending in suspense but no questions are answered! You are left with a mystery and no real clues. You just need to wait for the next book. I expected to read a book and not be left frustrated and pressured to purchase the next one......

Fantastic

This is a hot book with a fun plot. I enjoyed listening to it and trying to figure out what would happen next. The sex scenes left me in full blush with a smile on my face, and that's a good thing! The ending just plain sucks. It is literally in the middle of the book. Nothing has been sewn up, not even a stitch, and the book just ends! With, I might add, creepy music. What a let down. I try not to select books that are part of a series and not written/recorded. I would wait to get this until the others are out. It leaves you hanging and let down. The book is awesome, we just need the other ones, and the editor chose a poor breaking point.

MAD!! Don't buy until the full triolgy is complete

I am SUPER ANGRY. I would have given it 5 stars as the story was amazing however I have to agree with some of the other people who reviewed it and agree that nothing was answered not one single thing. Not giving us anything to look forward too. I am angry because at least with the FSoG series you get something in each book which builds to the next one and little by little the story line develops and unfolds, making you want to continue I am not sure if I will continue with this series as of yet. Or wait until it is completely finished. I have never read/listened to a story that leaves you with absolutely nothing to go on. Just leaves you hanging....I wish I would have used my credit on something else and waited until it was completed.

The narrator was great!

Advice : Wait until all three books are done before purchasing any that way you won't have to wait for months and months for rest.

Wow. I have never written a review so quick that is how out of sorts I am right now!

Exciting from beginning to........where's the end?

This book is filled with real life relationship baggage that the couple has to try to overcome (or deal with)......all with erotic, suspenseful, and exciting tidbits. Yes, it does leave you just hanging there at the end but luckily I waited for book 2 to come out so I can find out what happens! It is definitely worth the credit. I just hope book 2 doesn't let me down.

Completely drawn in...

Loved this book! The book pulled me in from the beginning. This author gives vivid descriptions of the characters and their surroundings. The author pulls you in deep and keeps you there for the whole book. I was on the edge of my seat anxiously flipping page after page to see where this story would take me. "If I were you (Inside out Trilogy)" filled me with so many emotions and brought me to an unexpected ending, once again making me want more! Well written sex scenes that were so passionate I can't wait for the second book.
