Publisher's summary

First published as a five-part e-serial novel, Anything He Wants inflamed imaginations everywhere and became a national best seller. Now available for the first time ever as a complete audiobook, this edition contains never-before-released scenes and special bonus material. Don’t miss this erotic tale of a powerful billionaire who always gets what he wants and the young woman who’s about to enter his exclusive realm - a world of glittering opulence and all-consuming passion, where she’ll explore the darkest reaches of her own desire.

Lucy Delacourt's temp position isn't quite her dream job but it pays the bills. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings with a handsome stranger. Tall, dark, and sexy as hell, Lucy knows he's way out of her league, but a girl can look, right? Everything changes the day the stranger seduces her. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn't know will change her life forever. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one taste isn't nearly enough to satisfy his need. As the billionaire pulls Lucy deeper into his world of high stakes business deals and ruthless takeovers, he demands nothing less than her complete surrender. But even as enemies seek deadly revenge against him, she’ll discover that her greatest threat is falling for her fiercely guarded boss…and yielding to her own darkest needs.

Did not like this book

What would have made Anything He Wants better?

Narrator sounds old and story sounds like a poor knock off of Fifty Shades of Grey

So Disappointed

Would you try another book from Sarah Fawkes and/or Clarissa Knightly?

This was the worst Romance Novel I have read. The book starts out hot and heavy and ends abruptly. Who wants to read a romance novel where the woman falls in love and the man just walks away.

bad!

Would you try another book from Sarah Fawkes and/or Clarissa Knightly?

no and no

What do you think your next listen will be?

everyone's man -Edward kendrick

How could the performance have been better?

First, the story its self was nothing but bad sex and the narrator sounded like she was in pain, i couldn't stand it. listening for 10 minutes was way to long.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

no not really

Any additional comments?

don't waste your time on this audio book.

Painful to listen to

I couldn't finish, its so bad. The summary promises a hot, exciting story. However, the actual book reads like one that I wrote in high school. For instance, the lead character (Jeremiah) has minimal dialogue and he issues only one to two word responses throughout...completely drove me up the wall. Not sure if the female character was young or not. Clarissa Knightly's voice sounds great, but way too mature if this is supposed to be a young, fresh out of college young woman.

A lot of room for improvement

Would you try another book from Sarah Fawkes and/or Clarissa Knightly?

I have mixed feeling about this book. There were parts I loved but the majority of it really grated on my nerves. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to buy the sequel however the thought of being subjected to another 8 hrs of poor writing is too much to bear. I felt like I was listening to 50 Shades of Grey and no, that's not a compliment. Along with a completely foolish and ridiculous "story line" (if you can even call it that) Sarah Fawkes' ability to repeat herself incessantly is impressive. Between E.L. and this author I never, EVER want to hear the word murmur again. In fact, I think it should be banned from erotica novels. There is no way two people can murmur that often. I'm also getting tired of the typical, plain, inexperienced, naive heroine whose life is on hold until a rich and powerful man comes along. But not to save her. Inevitably his lifestyle manages to put her in danger. How original...no one's ever done that one before. Fan fiction much?

As for the narrator, Clarissa Knightly, I agree with some of the other reviews stating she sounded a bit old for the part. However I think she still did a bang up job. Her characters were easily identifiable and she put a lot of emotion into it.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sarah Fawkes again?

Not unless I was desperate.

What three words best describe Clarissa Knightly’s performance?

Exciting, convincing and satisfying. She made a bad book tolerable.

What character would you cut from Anything He Wants?

None of them. If anything there were too few characters.

Any additional comments?

If you're sick of reading the same story over and over again from authors lacking talent and originality you've got to check out the "Original Sinners Series" by Tiffany Reisz. The heroin, Nora Sutherlin, will rock your socks! Powerful, unique and extremely well written. Every book has a different narrator which might not suit everyone's tastes. The first two narrators are great, the last one drove me nuts. Still...the book was worth it.

Anything he wants.

I don't like the voice. Any way to change it? The wrong voice ruins the entire book. Not natural.

There are better ones out there

This is not the best example of this type of book out there. For me this is an erotic book with some suspense thrown in. The characters are poorly developed and the interaction between them is very one dimensional. I really don't get why they are together in the first place. In my opinion, the only fun character is the brother Lucas. No, if you want some interesting and sexy reading I would suggest Sylvia Day's Crossfire novels. Even E.L. James is better than this.

Narrator sounds like a grandma, not a young woman.

Would you try another book from Sarah Fawkes and/or Clarissa Knightly?

Not pleased with the narrator chosen for this book. She sounds like she is in her 60's not 20's like the book.

Bad POV

Couldn’t make it through the second chapter....I enjoy first person narrative however, the writer also needs to balance that with really good POV of the protagonist. Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries POV is so bad that leaves the reader to wonder how could this man run Hamilton Industries when he is so focused on sex...Lucy was the biggest let down of all she is a total wimp....never says "No" and is so docile that is boring.
