Publisher's summary

I have lost everything - my purpose, my love, my soul. Death knocks on my door. I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle, the promise I made her brings me back.

So I breathe. I live. I hate. And I allow the anger to boil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent façade.

I am broken, and I don't want to be fixed.

One last trip to New York, one last chance to redeem a lost part of the Mafia family. The Empire is crumbling, and it's my job to fix it. It's my job to mend the pieces that were scattered over 30 years ago. But the only way to fix it is to do something I swore I'd never do again: an arranged marriage. This time I won't fall. Or so help me God, I'll kill her myself.

My name is Sergio Abandonato. You think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate.

You have no idea. I am the Mafia. I am the darkness. Blood in. No out.

Blood in. No out.

***SPOILER ALERT: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS IF HAVE NOT READ ELUDE***
What an amazing conclusion to Sergio's story! Elude brought us Sergio story. He had been forced to marry Andi and then had fallen so hard for her. ** spoiler alert** He was heartbroken and devastated when she passed away from leukemia.

Sergio now finds himself in the same situation but this time he is full of anger, rage and pain. Val was raised in New York. Young and innocent, she had no idea about her Mafia heritage. She is suddenly thrust into an arranged marriage with Sergio.

Empire brings us so much. Families coming together. Redemption. Mending. Pain. Passion. Mystery. More death.

Once again Rachel Van Dyken weaves an elaborate story filled with action, betrayal, love, and so much more!

Sergio is so complex that he needed two books to completely tell his story! And let's not forget that there are so many hot hot Hot times!

The family moves on as Sergio and Val move forward. This has been such a unique and fantastic way to catch up on the Eagle Elite Series. I am enjoying the audibles very much. Tom Taylorson, Keith Szarabajka and Erin Spencer do a phenomenal job in narration.

Now on to Enrage which I am so excited to listen to because I have already read the book! It was one of my favorite in the series!

Blood in. No out!

Two Twirls

Two twirls and a dance in the rain explains the love in this book. And he manages to get her two best friends together after her death. I’m not going to lie this book is a tearjerker but will leave you Smiling. Lots of love and humor makes for a amazing love story.

Loved it!

Another fantastic EE book. This is Sergio’s follow up book. I loved this book and how Sergio deals with the events from Elude. I enjoyed having new characters introduced with Dante and Val and look forward to Dante’s book

Rachel has done it again!!!

I loved it! Sergio and Val what a great story. And what an excellent job on the narration. Some books can be ruined by the reader, but this book was so enjoyable. Rachel did it again! Can't wait for Dante's story.

Too Fast

This love story for me happened too fast. I couldn't enjoy it. I usually wanna get to the end to see what's happened but with this one I really care. Two months and he's already over Andy. That for me is why I can't really get into this book. I give the story line 2.5 stars.

In other notes this series is amazing. Also the narrations are fantastic.

Captivating and breathtaking!!!

This mafia romance had everything I want in a romance book. This love story was powerfully moving, emotionally raw, and poignant. I was captivated by the storyline and fell in love with the characters. I adored the family scenes. They razz one another; but when needed most, they are unconditionally supportive. The journey was full of suspense, secrets and intrigue. A beautifully written love story… it was epic! Sergio and Valentina were destined for one another and it was beautiful as their story unfolded. Sergio dealing with the loss of his wife and Val their to heal him. While I thought Elude was my favorite book in this series, Empire has edged into that spot. A breathtaking love story of forgiveness, redemption and finding love when you least expect it. The narrators perfectly brought this story to life. I highly recommend this book.
