Publisher's summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author M. Robinson and number-one New York Times best-selling author Rachel Van Dyken comes a full-length, stand-alone romantic suspense novel.

Trust.

Loyalty.

Family.

The tangled web of mafia life.

We grew up together. Me, Eden, my brother Tristian.

He was always the safe bet, the sure thing, the good guy.

And me? Well, I was the Casanova, the killer who flirted with anyone and anything, breaking Eden’s heart again and again.

We both loved her.

Mind.

Body.

Soul.

Until I gifted her to my brother as if she meant nothing, when she meant everything to me.

Tristian was safer.

Better.

Could give her the life I never would be able to.

But things changed.

We changed.

My only goal was to protect her, making her hate me in return. Except once my brother wasn’t standing between us anymore, I decided…

It was my turn to claim what had always been mine to begin with.

Liked.

Liked the story, Romeo, but hated Eden. She was truly the cause of Tristan’s demise due to her ignorance, stupidity and feebleness. No human can bear such betrayal she caused upon him. She did not deserve her happily ever after. Once again, did not like the female performer. Another nasally, slow performance requiring me to speed up her performance. M. Robinson, you need to up your game by getting better female performers. Joe Arden, as usual, was great!

I really enjoyed it

This is a story full of jealousy, revenge, betrayal, suspense, a bit of mystery and redemption. Romero and his brother Tristian have always been in love with Eden. However, only one man can have the woman of their dreams. Neither men could have predicted that the choice they made would lead to deadly consequences. They say one man's loss is another man's treasure, but is that really true? Lines were crossed, lies were told and secrets were revealed. The chemistry between two of the main characters was undeniable and I loved how he showed up at the right time and in those perfect moments. I truly enjoyed every moment between these two characters and although they weren't always happy moments, they were the moments that mattered the most because he tried to do the right thing. However, when one soul calls for another, there is only so long that you can deny it. I figured out one of the major secrets early on in the story but there was still a lot to be revealed. I wish Eden's character was a little stronger when it came to certain situations but I'm definitely looking forward to reading "Falling for the Villian". This book ended with a cliffhanger regarding Romeo and Tristan's younger sister Juliet and I'm excited for her story but don't miss out on this one because it's worth listening to.

The time jumping was not written well

The story was good but the jumping from past to now was so poorly done. I stayed with it because of Joe Arden’s narration.

Loved this Mafia Romance!!

Mafia Casanova by M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken was a dark, intense mafia romance that instantly gripped my attention, and kept me holding my breath with anticipation till the very end. Romeo and Eden's romance had quite the epic ride that did crazy things to my heart (cue the angst), but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Joe Arden and Neva Nevarre narrate this audio, and were fantastic bringing Romeo and Eden's crazy, twisted love story to life. Romeo is a complex character with many disturbing, tainted flaws (thinking he will never be good enough for Eden), but at the same time has many loyal and passionate qualities to protect the ones he loves. Joe Arden was spot on showcasing all of these qualities and emotions in a moving performance. Neva Nevarre conveyed all of Eden's conflicted, vulnerable, and determined emotions brilliantly in her performance. Both narrators performance made me feel completely consumed in the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! If you love a mafia romance with an alpha protective hero, a brave fierce heroine, a cute curious little guy, mafia family drama, family secrets, suspense, steam, angst, a crazy plot twist, deception, and finally an HEA that will leave you with a happy sigh, then you love this dark romance. I am looking forward to more from M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken.

Very good but beware of violence & cliffhanger!

I bought this audiobook #1 for the narrators. I like them both and they did not disappoint in this book!

The characters were well developed. The author does a very good job of making you develop affection for Romeo, despite his ruthlessness and violent acts.

I have not read too many Mafia romances so I don't know if this type of violence is the norm. It wasn't gory or anything but just surprising to me, and the character's nonchalance about it.

There are a lot of "flashbacks," which I don't like most of the time, but it was necessary to learn the backstory of the characters.

Epic writing & performance

These two amazing writers slayed Mafia Casanova. Seamlessly written like two well-oiled machines working in sync and delivering a mafia romance and giving us not just an ordinary read but something extraordinary! Joe Arden and Neva Navarre’s performance was just as epic as these two writers. I was captivated by the smooth cadence of Joe Arden’s voice and enthralled with Neva Navarre. They couldn’t have casted a better duo that fit more perfectly than this pair, they just fit the parts of Romeo and Eden to a T and brought their story to life. They can take all my stars for this epic audiobook!
