Schopenhauer sostenía que la mujer es un ser inferior al hombre, tanto física como intelectualmente. La consideraba más egoísta, manipuladora y interesada que el hombre. También creía que las mujeres son más propensas a la pasión y la emoción, lo que las hace más difíciles de controlar.
Basándose en estas ideas, Schopenhauer ofrece una serie de consejos sobre cómo tratar a las mujeres. Afirma que el hombre debe ser fuerte y dominante, y que debe utilizar su inteligencia para manipular a la mujer y conseguir lo que quiere. También recomienda al hombre ser generoso con la mujer, pero no demasiado, ya que esto podría hacerla codiciosa y exigente.
