Publisher's summary

In Ejaculate Responsibly, Gabrielle Blair offers a provocative reframing of the abortion issue in post-Roe America. In a series of 28 brief arguments, she deftly makes the case for moving the abortion debate away from controlling and legislating women’s bodies and instead directs the focus on men’s lack of accountability in preventing unwanted pregnancies.

Highly enjoyable, accessible, funny, and unflinching, Blair builds her argument by walking listeners through the basics of fertility (men are 50 times more fertile than woman), the unfair burden placed on women when it comes to preventing pregnancy (90% of the birth control market is for women), the wrongheaded stigmas around birth control for men (condoms make sex less pleasurable, vasectomies are scary and emasculating), and the counterintuitive reality that men, who are fertile 100% of the time, take little to no responsibility for preventing pregnancy.

The result is a compelling and convincing case for placing the responsibility—and burden—of preventing unwanted pregnancies away from women and onto men.

Well Said!

Amazingly simple idea that has eluded our society, culture, and the Catholic (and other) church’s focus. No more! Everyone should read this book. It should be required reading by all priests, bishops and spiritual leaders. It should be a prerequisite for anybody serving in public office whether that is as a legislator, judge, or member of the executive branch. Also, prosecutors should read this!

Fantastic

This is the type of book that everyone should read. It should be part of sex ed.

Amazing

A must read for everyone young and old. I am 55 and this flipped the abortion conversation into some productive. Everyone in my family is getting a hardcopy of this book for Christmas.

Very Important Food for Thought

While at times Ms. Blair runs hyperbolic and definitely didn't get all the physiology stuff just right, the main ideas here are simple and yet absolutely mind-boggling. This is absolutely worth listening to. I am a women's healthcare provider (midwife) and I will recommend this to my colleagues.

Can’t argue with the logic

The sense in this book is so common that it’s embarrassing it has to be written down. Men taking more responsibility in the area of reproduction is something that should happen and this book details why.

For everyone on both sides of the abortion issue

Love the clear, expressive narration. Love the simple arguments that turn this issue where it squarely belongs—to those that ejaculate irresponsibly.

A must read!

I wish every man and woman would read this book! Our society is flawed in it’s priorities for women’s health, women’s medical care, women’s sex education, and representation.
We need change and I hope this book ignites a fire in its readers like it did for me.

First time I ever listened to this author and I have been missing out!

The author does a great job in pointing out what seems to be obvious facts regarding sex, conception and the aftermath that we rarely discuss or even mention in general. She is open with her sources and every parent should listen and encourage their children to listen girls AND BOYS! Will listen to more of her stuff. This should be mandatory listening or reading in every sex ed curriculum.
