The truth is out there...

In the aftermath of the Stonemeyer disaster, Special Agent Jackson Fischer is determined to uncover truth behind the failed mission and bring those responsible to justice. But growing pressure to close the case has everyone on edge, and Fischer is desperate for more evidence.

As Corporal Allen Sheridan struggles to face his demons from Stonemeyer, he must also prove himself to his new teammates. Assigned to the Alliance Marine Special Operation Command, Sheridan and the members of Team Valkyrie soon find themselves right in the middle of the biggest clandestine operation in the history of the Alliance.

The search for truth, however, leads only to more questions, and with the Alliance on the brink of war, Fischer and Sheridan must race against the clock to find the answers that will put an end to the conspiracy that threatens to tear the Alliance apart.

Echoes of Valor is an action-packed story of bravery, determination, and the will to win at all costs. With higher stakes and deeper mysteries, the second book in the Valor Series will keep you listening to the very end.

One of the best follow-ups I've read

A lot of times, it seems you can't top the first book. I think in music they call it the sophomore slump, or something .... that's not what we got here. The author delivered a captivating second book that had me absolutely enthralled.

Now, we don't just have Fischer's perspective, but several others as well, including the lovable Sheridan.

Book three... bring it!

Good Space Marine Fun!

Josh Hayes has harnessed both his military experience as an Air Force veteran and skills as a police officer to craft one of the best damn space marine thrillers I've enjoyed this year. He checks all the literary corners as he clears each chapter, hitting his readers with one gripping battle scene after the next. Interspersed is a constant sense of urgency as military investigators, Fischer and Eliwood, follow a trail of bodies that make it plain the disastrous conspiracy from Edge of Valor went far, far deeper than they'd guessed. Add to all this Marc Vietor's superb narrating and I have to say this is one of those rare, delightful instances where the second book is as good or better than the first. I'm looking forward to the final part of this thoroughly enjoyable story.

The one thing I didn’t like was that the voice of each person changes at lest 7 times

Great military legal investigation

This is an absolutely awesome science fiction military detective/investigative story with a ton of awe inspiring action and creative characters.
I wholeheartedly recommend this to any sci-fi fan/geek, like me, out there.

The narration is spot on! Just awesome!

Worthy Sequel

This is a worthy continuation of Edge of Valor. I liked the survivor’s story from the first book, and how he worked to be whole as the story progress.

The main protagonist (Fischer) isn’t solely an action hero in this story. I like that he is a thinker. Working a mystery story isn’t easy when it comes to telling a story, but I think the author did the mystery of the storyline justice.
This book has many facets, and I didn’t struggle to keep up despite the story’s complexity.

The narrator does amazing work for the action scenes but is a little intense when it comes to exposition. Overall a good performance, just took some getting used to.

The author rendered a GOOD sequel. He did not get lazy nor complacent. He constructed a mystery within a military sci fi genre. This is a hard genre mix to write, but Josh Hayes pulled it off nicely. I think the believability of the story is the author has experience as a police officer and a veteran. I think he did a good job balancing suspicions (theory) and evidence.

Highly recommend.

Another great entry

Well, this one actually had me a little queasy on some of the investigations, and that is definitely challenging.

Thanks Josh for another great entry!
