Publisher's summary

When Dr. Christopher Barnes awakens from a coma, his world lies in pieces. A neurotoxin has left the surgeon with a rare form of amnesia that prevents him from forming new memories. Any new information vanishes within moments.

Then he learns that his wife has been murdered... and he'll have to relearn this every day.

He vows to solve the case himself, but the police have their own theory - one that puts him at the center of a conspiracy to commit homicide.

Barnes spends his days piecing the crime together and trying to separate friend from foe. The more the cops build their case against him, the closer he gets to the truth... but the deeper he falls into danger.

Great story!

Loved the storyline and was great to not have foul language or sex scenes. Just a great story that kept me guessing. I wanted more.

Enjoyed

I couldn't put it down. Its hard to believe this actually happened. I loved how Barnes was so intelligent. No normal everyday person could have solved a murder with a brain impediment that he had. It was sad that he had to relive his wife an dogs death every single day. So heartbreaking. I feel bad in saying how much I enjoyed the book when a man has to write notes to himself everyday just to continue living his life. I really liked how his attitude towards people had changed he softened up. He wasn't as rude and short with people, more humble.

Dying to Remember

This surgeon is having an affair with a beautiful blonde. When they sit down to eat dinner the mussels he's served is poisoned. He's rushed to the hospital, in a coma, his wife Elizabeth is called and rushes to be by his side. 🔜 I'm stopping there. I do have a few things to say. This book is an excellent example of how stand by each other when something traumatic happens to them, and I am speaking in long run. You get to know who your friends quickly. Excellent

amazingly true

This is a greatly written book which tells the truth about what severe memory loss feels like. It may feel repetitious to those that do not understand severe memory loss and to tie it into a murder mystery is total genius. The tape recorder technique, absolutely imperative. good mystery to boot.
