Publisher's summary

In her intimate autobiographical account Lucid Dreams and the Holy Spirit, Maria Isabel Pita shared how she was led home to Christ through her dreams. From the very first night she began lucid dreaming, she encountered a male dream figure with a presence and sentience unlike any other. The dreams in which he came to her were intensely special, and following the clues over several years, she finally dared to ask herself if this person could be Christ's gift to us of the Holy Spirit; God himself.

Dream by dream, her soul was guided along a path in keeping with Christian mystical tradition. But it was only the beginning.

In the writings of the early Church, numerous references are made to people who became Christians as a result of waking visions as well as dreams of the night. According to the third century theologian Origen of Alexandria, dreams, waking visions, and divine inspiration are all essentially the same thing - a way God reveals himself to us and gives us a symbolic knowledge of the nature of the spiritual world; of heaven. The Church calls such dreams a charisma - any good gift that flows down to us from God's love.

Maria has logged hundreds of dreams, many of which she could not fully understand until they came to pass and until she began educating herself on the truths of the faith they inspired her to embrace. That proved the master key to understanding, working, and living with her dreams. This audiobook will take you on an enthralling journey rich with examples and advice on how to make the most of our dreams as an inspiring part of our life in Christ.

Fabulous and enlightening!

Dreaming with the Lord is an enlightening and fabulous. Maria Isabel Pita did a fabulous job in the writing and telling of her book. I so love the references she gives and the points she gives in helping you to do the same thing. Though this is a Christian based book, I believe anyone from any religion can benefit from this. Thank you, Maria, for sharing your experience with our Lord and Savior, I hope many will benefit from listening to this audiobook. I did!

But I can dream, can't I?

There is an old Andrew Sisters song that I used to listen to as a kid with my grandmother titled I can Dream, Can't I, and this book made me think of that song. Maria Isabel Pita crafts her words delicately and deliberately, and then reads them to you in a wonderfully calm voice that carries hope and love as she speaks. She has a wonderful message, and while you don't have to follow her series of beliefs to get the message I do believe that her words really touch the Christian heart.

Having read several of her books at his point I pretty much know that she has a message that she wants to be heard, but doesn't hit you over the head with it like some people do. She is very eloquent and elegant in her delivery style, and that makes me more receptive to hear what she has to say. And it is a wonderful thing that she speaks of. I have seen my wife and child share a dream, which I have commented on in another review that I did for Maria on another of her novels, but have never really had anything prophetic. I've had overwhelming moments when I was awake where I made declarations, such as I am going to live there (when I was a kid) and then actually moved there as an adult with no memory of my ever saying that until my mother told me that when I had told her that there was an odd impact that the statement made on her, and she had never forgotten me saying that at all. So, I am very interested in dreams, and that is my wife's influence as she talks about hers every day.

This book kept my interest from start to finish and gave me something to talk to my wife about as she would tell me her dreams (I really think she lived another life before because she is always talking about being trapped during a war and terrible things going on. I think that it will spark an interest in you if you have faith and or are fascinated by dreams. Trust me, you will enjoy listening to Maria tell you her thoughts and experiences. Don't miss out on this insightful and thought-provoking book.
