Publisher's summary

Drakon Jericho Drake, the child of a pure-blood dragon and human, has a simple plan: Kill the leader of the Knights of the Dragon and start a war. Except, when he meets his target, Karina Azarov, she can't remember who she is. Worst of all—he can't kill her. His dragon side has just claimed the dangerous woman as his mate.

Karina has no idea why these Drakons have taken her to their home. And she most certainly does not understand why she's so drawn to her captor. Maybe because he's strong, intelligent, and caring, in his enigmatic sort of way. One thing she knows, he's not going to hurt her. If only she could remember something from her past that would explain why these Drakons hate her so much.

But if her memory returns, mated or not, he may get his war. And one of them will die.

Contains mature themes.

Great ending to the series

I loved Karina and Jericho’s enemies to lovers, fated mates with a side of amnesia romance. Oooo - this story - it was not what I thought it would be. After learning about Karina from the previous books in the series I was prepared to not like her character and have trouble believing any kind of redemption love story arc. Color me wrong. The storyline was done so masterfully and believably that it worked well in the context of this world. Jericho is a powerful and immortal drakon who is an assassin. Karina is the head of the Knights of Dragon, an organization that hunts and subjugates drakons. Jericho’s plan to assassinate Karina hits an instant snag when he realizes she is his fated mate and she has no memory. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline and includes all the goodness of sweet moments, steamy scenes, fighting, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends, painful pasts, mystical coincidences, snark, plot twists, surprises, and laughs. The balance between the suspense and the romance was once again perfection. I am sorry to see the end of the series.

The narrator was perfect for this story. Samantha Cook did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. It felt like there were multiple narrators. I really love the added dimension listening brings to a story.
