Publisher's summary

Everything's bigger in Texas - including romance, magic, and danger!

Katie Chandler has fled fast-paced Manhattan and returned home to a simpler life, working at her family's feed-and-seed store in Cobb, Texas. In a painfully selfless gesture, Katie had left the sexy wizard Owen Palmer to battle his demons in the magical realm–after all, Katie just seemed to attract evil, which only made Owen's job a lot harder. But now it seems that trouble has followed her home: Despite the fact that Merlin, Katie's old boss at Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc., has assured her that Cobb is free of enchantment, (magically speaking), Katie begins to notice curious phenomena. Cobb is being plagued by a series of inexplicable petty crimes and other devilish mischief, and after her experiences in Manhattan, Katie knows "unauthorized magic" when she sees it. As this new darkness strikes deep in the heart of Texas, Owen appears (literally) to investigate. Now Katie's friends and family must show the bad guys why it's bad luck to hex with Texas, while Katie and Owen combine their strengths like never before to uncover a sinister plot before evil takes root in the Lone Star State.

Interesting. Hooked.

Would you listen to Don't Hex with Texas again? Why?

Yes! Loved it!

Have you listened to any of Eva Wilhelm’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've read the other books in the series and she is getting better.

Any additional comments?

This was my favorite book of the series so far. I loved meeting Katie's family, especially her Granny. It reminded me of my extremely close knit family and the tiny town we live and farm in. The character developments were interesting and the plot moved a little quicker this time. It didn't feel like it was creeping along for no reason like in parts of the previous books. I can't wait to read the next one!

Another one in the series

I like this series as something to escape from the stress of my job. It is fun to listen to on my way home from work. I still am not a fan of the narrator of this series.

Let's meet Granny & the rest of the family

Now we meet Katie's family and her memorable Granny who is a hoot. Love Granny!!! Enchanted Inc. is the fourth in the series from author Shanna Swendson. This is a fun chick series that is a mystery, an adventure, and a romantic comedy which is lighthearted, magical, and fun.

There are characters you'll love and remember. The heroin, Katie, is “completely ordinary” in a universe of magic. This is a good thing.

For adults the series is “Alice in Wonderland” and “Harry Potter” all rolled into one. It is a mystical romp and a fun escape. Read and enjoy.

A delightful romp

A lovely romp through an alt universe where magic is real. The heroine is engaging and funny. The hero is oblivious and dashing. The story line is engaging and fun. I started the first on a whim based on the cover, title and reviews. I'm glad I did. They have been quite fun. Lighthearted interactions that have kept me engaged through out. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Getting Better

She kept me guessing this time, definitely getting better at plotting. This time I also found myself laughing out loud. I lover Katie's mother!

Enjoying the series

I like the characters, and the story is fun. The narration is excellent. One of the running subplots is how adult children deal with parents, which I find amusing. I also like how Merlin is portrayed.
I’m listening to the series for a third time. Even though I know how the story ends, It’s still a very good listen.
