Some great new perspectives

Full disclaimer: I’m a previous client of coach Drees. That said, I’d like to believe that doesn’t have any bearing on my review.

Drees has a unique coaching style, which finds its roots in cognitive behavioral therapy, the emotional freedom technique (tapping), and even a bit of quantum physics.

Reading this book brought me right back to our old coaching sessions. It’s a great encapsulation of Drees’ teachings and methodologies. What I like most about those teachings — as well as this book — is that they’re relatively unique for the self-help space.

Drees assists clients and readers in overcoming roadblocks by changing their frames, mindsets, and beliefs. He regularly returns to the notion of “misalignment” — the idea that if we’re not properly attuned to our desires, it will be hard for us to attain them because we won’t be the required versions of ourselves.

Throughout the book, as well as his coaching sessions, he stresses the importance of finding such alignment and discovering empowering perspectives to surmount difficulties in new, more seamless fashions. And those subjects are essential indeed, as you’ll likely learn when you read this one.

Different and life changing!

The ideas in this book are definitely different compared to the “normal” ideas and way of thinking in the world today, but if you’re open and willing to think outside the box this book can absolutely change your mindset and your life.

Was skeptical but it’s about mindset

I was a little skeptical at first as I’ve never read through a book that requires interacting but I feel mentally lighter and more positive about my life overall now. I feel I can tackle things with less resistance than before and will be using the skills to help me obtain a new job and get paid what I am worth.

Inspiring and enlightening!

I was a former client of Tony Robbins coaching, Im a coach myself and a passionate student of human consciousness expansion.
Jasons voice came as a fresh new way to internalize even more, concepts that I have found in many other teachings.
I recommend this book to anyone that wants to experience expansion of heart and connection to higher self and spirit.

Started strong but …

I was excited to sing praises on rooftops - the book started out strong, but lost me toward the end. His repetitions were verbose and didn’t resonate. And his anecdotes were mostly related to coaching, a career I am neither involved nor interested in. I felt like he took us down a hopeful path and left us at nightfall to figure our own way out of his tangled web of words. He talks about achieving the “impossible” - was a bit triggering, to me - so I changed the intention to ‘achieving the extraordinary’ - I didn’t grasp his teachings on how to ‘change my frame’ it wasn’t palpable - didn’t land for me.
