Publisher's summary

Lucas Page is a polymath, astrophysicist, professor, husband, father of five adopted children, bestselling author, and ex-FBI agent—emphasis on ex. Severely wounded after being caught in an explosion, Page left the FBI behind and put his focus on the rebuilding the rest of his life. But Page is uniquely gifted in being able to recognize patterns that elude others, a skill that brings the FBI knocking at his door again and again.

When Lucas Page's wife Erin loses a friend, a gifted plastic surgeon, to suicide, Lucas begins to realize how many people Erin knew that have died in the past year, in freak accidents and now suicide. Intrigued despite himself, Page begins digging through obituaries and realizes that there's a pattern—a bad one. These deaths don't make sense unless the doctors are being murdered, the target of a particularly clever killer. This time, the FBI wants as little to do with Lucas as he does with them so he's left with only one option—ignore it and go back to his normal life. But then, the pattern reveals that the next victim is likely to be Erin herself...

Best detective on his best case

I didn't expect to listen to another Lucas Page mystery after doing Under Pressure because I didn't care much for New York City and I didn't care much for a paraplegic hero. However, I had to concede that the suspense level was high throughout. So I finally decided to try Do No Harm. I accepted Dr. Page's infirmities and resigned myself to the promotional passages about NYC, and instead just bathed in the suspense. And boy, did this one generate suspense! Better than Under Pressure, We are left hanging until almost the very end trying to choose the real mastermind. Normally, I listen to audio books while swimming laps in the pool. But this one was so compelling that after I got home from the pool, I went out back and listened for a couple more hours. First time I had ever done that with an audio book. See for yourself. Whoops, I mean, hear for yourself.

OMG. What a ride!

Love this series. Love the narrator love the story. I never review but I had to because this was the absolute best - especially the last book. It is my opinion that it should be made into a movie or at least a series. I also appreciate the humour - especially in the last book. I was listening and laughing. I am sad there are no more books YET! I am looking forward to the next instalment in the Lucas Page saga. Keep it coming Robert Pobi.

Exciting to a point

Great tale told well. Only shortcoming a bit too long. Author’s command of literature is compelling and his dialogue enjoyable.

When is the movie coming out?

This is a fun story to immerse yourself in for several hours. I was afraid it would end too predictably, but it is actually an interesting story. I did have a suspect, and sometimes more than one. I enjoy having more than one suspicious person. It is very visual and would obviously make n entertaining movie. I wonder who would play Lucas best? I keep thinking of that Scandinavian actor who plays Serijonin in
“Serijonin” (sp?).

Revenge

I love these books. They are original, exciting, thought provoking. Lucas Page is just perfect. A man with a deep love of family combined with an amazing mind for details. Great storylines each book and full of action but loaded as well with people who have their own stories as well.

Interesting story, a little contrived

Excellent reader. Too many jumps of faith. Excellent character development. Interesting technical imagery.

Probably will not read any more by this author, but glad I read this one.
