Fly through the cosmos with Dev and Tawny

First of all, I really like the books of this new writer. They're zero to sixty exciting and filled with real love stories. Half the characters are alien but that seems not nearly as important as the fact that their emotions are fully human.
Why I didn't give this five stars as I did to all the other stories is because it's far too introspective.
I understand that beings who've been abused are not going to bounce right back but the Stockholm Syndrome thing was pretty much belabored and soon became tiring. The story was still actually better than average but Khan herself set the bar high and now her fans are going to expect her to keep it high throughout this series. But this is still better than the average sci-romance.
My other issue is one I hesitate over but I have rather strong feelings about the narrators. This narrator did nothing wrong, really, but she had a voice like a kid I knew in junior high. It just didn't work for me. Hearing what sounds like a kid read the sexy parts made me squeamish. Tonality is everything.
So, even though this story is not as perfect as the others, I think it's still a good read and I recommend it to fans of sci-fi-fi romance.

Far More then Expected!

I almost did not get this book after reading the reviews about the narrator, but I loved all the books before it and gave it a try. Thank goodness I did. From the first words I understood why some would not find the voice of the book. For me it was different, I heard the voice of the women in my life. I heard the voice of many black women I have known. It may be that some have not had exposure to voices of women of color, so the reading sounds flat or does not have inflections they are use to.
All I can say is open your mind and heart and you will love this reading as much as all the books before this one.

The story line is wonderful, I don't want to give away the plot. Just know that there are new dimensions.

Did.a robot read this book?

I'm sorry but this narrator KILLED the book for me, She sounded like I asked "Her Siri, dictate this book to me in the most boring and monotone way, and make the seex scenes sound like you are reading a manual on how to install a garage door opener"

Save your credit and buy the book on kindle and have the app read the book it can't be any worse than this!

*Note to the author, it is not the story, its the way she reads it to your audience.

Boring narrator.

Very disappointed. This lady doesn't know how to bring a story alive and create distinct characters. No steam in the intimate moments.

Good

This was a good story but it could have been much better. The audio should have and could have been better. There were important information left out of the story. WHY
