Publisher's summary

To defeat the Demons, I must bond with one....

A Demon God rises in the south, and he has taken an interest in me and my women.

To face this new adversary, I’ll have to travel to the ancient city of Chevalec and form an adventuring party with a cowardly priest, a gamer from Earth in a warrior’s body, and a Halfling prophet with a love for whiskey.

But most importantly, I’ll need to tame a Demon assassin as sexy as she is deadly....

As Aerda’s last hope, I cannot fail.

Disclaimer: This LitRPG harem fantasy adventure for men is part two of three in a completed series. It features:

  • A sexy and fierce Demon-blooded assassin that joins the MC’s harem.
  • Forming an adventuring party in a medieval city infiltrated by Demons!
  • Underwater battles!
  • Dungeon crawling in ancient sewers and castles.
  • Crunchy game mechanics inspired by tabletop RPGs, including skill checks, level-based character progression, stats, spell descriptions, loot, and all the LitRPG goodness that comes with them!

Great Series Continuation

Another great and well written book from Jack Bryce. This story is getting very deep and really good. Definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

The narration by Erin Bateman for this book series has been performed very well. She has done a great job with all the different character voices as well as keeping the story moving fluidly.

Great story line!

This is a great story with a lot going on at the same time, That, oh-so-sexy, demon assassin first encounter was really good. Lots of fights and adventure to keep a reader/listener entertained.
Now my critique. I personally would have liked it more if this were dual narration. Sometimes Erin's voices get blended together. This is my personal opinion/pet peeve, so I won't penalize the book which deserves at least 4.5 out of 5 stars.
So, yes, I recommend this book which is exciting and entertaining. Oh, it's got some serious spice too!

Good Sequel

When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the last book worth it and then some. In my opinion this book reaches that bar. As I understand it, this author has been writing for some time and does so under another name besides this one. The gentleman appears to favor lighter shorter stories that are what they are and make no apologies about them. His bio says that he's inspired by cultivation, progression fantasy, GameLit, etcetera. The writing is solid as far as I'm concerned, and it achieves the goal of being entertaining in my opinion. Shortly after the story begins in this book our hero reunites with one of his companions from the first book. He impregnates the lady and then a little bit further on she finds herself kidnapped by demons. our hero then finds himself teamed up with and assassin who was trying to kill him. The deal is that she helps him get his pregnant lover back and he helps her try to recover her father. One could argue that it is somewhat similar to the first book, but I would argue that there's comfort and a nice light story that you can listen to while doing chores. There is enough of a distinction between the two to still be entertaining. And we've got a possessed child king and some sort of cleric that has fallen from grace. If you get to the end of this book and can't wait for the next audio release, then I've got good news for you as book three is currently available in eBook form. I also want to take the time to recommend another series by this author that you should definitely check out which is the “Apocalypse Cultivator” series. The series has been completed and is available in both audio and eBook form. Next, I cannot leave this review without mentioning the amazing performance by narrator Erin Bateman. I believe the first time I came across this lady narrator was in the “Survival of the Fittest” series and I've never seen her do less than an amazing job. Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the Audible listeners.

Pretty good. Bateman’s narration is a lot of fun!

The story is pretty good. I like the world building and how the relationships feel more “real.” What I mean is that they aren’t instantly perfect. There are hurdles and difficulties that require effort to work through so they can thrive.

The only aspect I struggled with is being able to understand the accents for some of the female characters.

Otherwise, it is a fun and relatively easy to follow and just fall into.

Great addition to the series

I’m really digging this series I like the pacing and character Deveolpment. Usually in the shorter books I feel it is overly rush to finish the arc. But that was not the case here, very well written.

Not disappointed.

This book 2 is just as good, if not better than book 1.
MC needs to go to the big city to see if the bad guy he and his girls killed is really dead.
He is followed by one of his girls and meets up with a priest and a smoking hot Cambrian.
Adventure ensues.
I really enjoyed this book.
If you liked the first book and like fantasy HaremLit you're going to love this book.
