Publisher's summary

Humanity faces an enemy from space. Dangerous, to be sure, but behind them is the ultimate enemy. This one threatens not only the people on Prime and Darwin's World, but all humans on all dimensions!

And this enemy is armed with a disintegrator ray that humans have no defense against.

And as usual, humanity is caught off guard. There are few spaceships and even fewer that are suitable for converting to warships.

Humanity does what humans have always done: buy time with blood.

But will even that be enough to delay the oncoming 3,000-ship fleet until Matt and the humans on Prime and Darwin's World can mount an effective defense?

Couldn’t stop listening

I really liked the storyline, totally captivating.
It would’ve been nicer to have multiple voice characters though. Scott is great but does not have a lot of range, which limits the impact of what some of the characters say.

Interesting tangent taken in this book

This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author. I definitely need to listen to more books in this series. I previously listened to book 4, and this book feels so ‘out of left field’ for me, I need to go back and re-listen to the end of 4. That’s not to say I don’t like it. I do. It’s just taking a tangent I did not expect. Multiple dimensions? Cooperation between dimensions? Powerful enemy capable of more than the humans? Ya, didn’t see that coming from struggling on a planet with Sabre tooth tigers and clones.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Scott Cluthe ) and I would listen to another. His narration leans a bit more towards reading than performing, but it’s still well done. Most of the characters have distinguishable voices. Female voices are well done.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.??.

great story

loved it but struggled to finish it , could have been more action during the final fight, and a book with so many charecters should have more narrators you really have to keep up to figure out who is talking, but still an amazing story read all 4

Defending Eden

The story is good but we get a lot of background information and this deflates the tension. Other than this it is not a bad read and I would recommend it.
