Publisher's summary

Soon to be a major motion picture sequel to Murder on the Orient Express with a screenplay by Michael Green, directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Gal Gadot - coming February 11, 2022!

Beloved detective Hercule Poirot embarks on a journey to Egypt in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous mysteries.

The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything...until she lost her life.

Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.

A sweeping mystery of love, jealousy, and betrayal, Death on the Nile is one of Christie’s most legendary and timeless works.

Death on the Nile is perfect.” (The Guardian)

“One of her best.... First rate entertainment.” (Kirkus Reviews)

Smashing!

Branagh’s performance brings to life every character and nuance. I’m not usually a huge fan of mysteries but this makes me want to look more closely at offerings from Christie, especially if Branagh is narrating.

Kenneth Branagh elevates this classic

I’ve loved Agatha Christie my whole life. Even giving nods to dated concepts and definite cultural changes she holds up. And Kenneth Branagh
intones this masterpiece with the perfect fresh inflection on a classic

Amazing Narration

Absolutely loved the narration, there's a few spots where you may miss a word or two but overall I couldn't have been happier. I haven't listened to a murder mystery before and this was great, now let's see how the movie turns out!

Amazing narrator

Kenneth Branagh is one of the best narrators I have ever heard. He handled several accents—American, French, Italian, Arabic, and the nuances of British English with perfection. Bravo, Branagh.

Death in the Nike is one of Christie’s best, further enhanced by its narrator.

This is a classic Christie that comes alive with one of the best narrators I’ve heard. I’ll look for more audiobooks by him.

Perfect Christie Mystery and Narration

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Hugh Fraser narrations of other Christie novels but this one by Kenneth Branagh rivals them. Branagh has a host of accents representing the characters as British, German, Italian, American, and of course, Belgian. The story itself is one of Christie’s best with exotic locations and an ominous trip down the Nile. It has the usual red herrings and interesting characters, all well-played by Branagh. Now, I can’t wait to see the movie adaptation!
