Publisher's summary

The darkness is coming....

Thiago is gone, and enemies surround me on all sides.

But when the Queen of Ravenal offers me a deal—knowledge of my husband’s true nature in exchange for my pledge to destroy my wicked mother—there’s a glimmer of hope in my world.

I could have him back.

I could return him to life.

All I have to do is venture into the Underworld and barter with the God of Death....

Is my light enough to counter it?

But when Thiago returns, even though his kiss is as familiar to me as my own breath, there are shadows in his night-dark eyes, and a violent, desperate sense of possession to his touch. It’s like he’s drowning, and my light is the only thing holding his head above the tide of darkness threatening to consume him.

But with a dark god rising in the north, and my mother threatening war, maybe we need his darkness in order to vanquish all….

Maybe it’s time we both unleashed the true nature of our powers.

My light. His darkness.

Together, we can burn the world to ashes....

The heart stopping conclusion to the Thiago and Iskvien trilogy!

Forbidden love will consume them in this tale of a pair of fated mates desperate to save each other. Curse of Darkness features a pair of soulmates determined to forge their own fate, and the wicked queen who will stop at nothing to tear them apart.

Listen to this epic fantasy romance filled with magic and breathtaking romance today!

I really wanted to like this series but…

The first book started strong, the second one was a little disappointing(boring), and the third fell flat for me.
I really wanted to like this series but it never locked me in like these sagas normally do. I don’t know if it was the narration- her performance was boring and she used the same voice for every character (and there were a lot of characters/character pov, so it was somewhat confusing)
There were also so many storylines for each character, and so many problems/battles/political dramas for the main characters that it just seemed like too much packed into a series like this. Sometimes less is more.
Overall, it was okay- I think I would’ve liked it better to read instead of listen to - but alas, here we are.
Okay to pass the time, but not a favorite.

Had potential

The story line was good, but I feel like this needed a little more editing. I understand that it’s helpful to repeat things sometimes for the sake of the reader, but I feel like big history things were repeated so, so many times. There were sections that were unnecessary recaps that I just skipped because the same thing had been said, almost verbatim, multiple times already.
