Conquering the Bear is a continuation of a series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. We met Sylvester in the first book, and it was fun to have him starring in this second book. While participating in the shifter games, Sylvester meets and competes against Marc. Sylvester is very social and outgoing, but Marc is a reclusive billionaire working as a veterinarian. He has separated himself from his family and most people because he believes people are only interested in him due to his wealthy family. Add in Sylvester planning to move to Hong Kong six months after he meets Marc, and these two have many obstacles stacked against a relationship. Luckily, those obstacles and the action of the shifter games make for an exciting story.

Audrey Lusk does a good job with the narration. She has a smooth delivery and differentiates well between men and women. My only complaint is that when she is trying to show emotions, she is over the top, making the characters sound cartoon-like.

Omg this audio book was absolutely positively amazing. I would highly recommend this audio book.

Love this series!

I'm really enjoying this series, the shifter games are so creative, I laugh my way through each one and I can't wait to see what happens with them in the rest of the series.

I really felt for Marc, I know what it's like to be awkward in social situations and I can only imagine the pressure he experienced because of his family.

The chemistry between Marc and Sylvester is hot and they seem to be a good match for each other. Their romance did develop quickly but that's also because of the length of the story and since I love a quick listen I can't complain about that.

The character voices are well done and the delivery is well paced.

Cute story with lots of angst. I found it entertaining and lighthearted. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The female narrator was okay, but it felt out of place and would have been better and more relevant with a male narrator.

Great m/m shifter love story! Ms. Tipton has surprised me again with another level of love in this audio book.

Don’t waste your time or $.

The story was fair, although there wasn’t much to it. It was ruined by the narration. The voices of Mark and Lola in particular made me grimace every time they spoke. I don’t know what kind of audience the narrator was aiming for, perhaps readers who are as overly dramatic as her reading was.
