Publisher's summary

What happens when a book blogger accidentally publishes her digital diary online?

A viral sh--storm, that's what.

No way did I want thousands of subscribers to read my confessions - yet, that's precisely what went down last night after four too many Cosmos with my girls.

Now, Damage Control is my new middle name because my diary confessional has my roommate, Lucas Stone, written all over it.

Literally.

I've been in love with him forever - well, ever since I saw him sprint across campus naked during our first year of college.

And now that Lucas knows how I feel about him?

Well, things are destined to get awkward.

Because Lucas Stone, my BFF - the man who sleeps only one room over - just got engaged.

And his fiancée isn't me.

Confessions of a Bookaholic is a steamy, friends-to-lovers, sports romance full of laughter and a tiny bit of angst.

Simply AMAZING

This was my first Joslyn Westbrook book but I can safely say it wont be my last. I am a fan!
This friends to lovers romance was incredible.
I am normally not a huge fan of friends to lovers and this one had me engrossed from the very first chapter. This audio was just really good! *Thank you Wildfire PR*

An awesome best friends to lovers story.

Macy Sinclair, is a book blogger who lives with her best friend.
They have been friends since they were six years old.

Lucas Stone, a college football player who is looking at the NFL draft, has loved Macy since the first day she moved into his neighborhood and he came over to asked her to play Bad Guys and Batman.
They have been through a lot together and she had always been off limits. So when he comes home and announces, on their friends anniversary, that he's getting married, the same night she planned on telling him how she really felt about him, things get crazy.
When she goes out with her girlfriends and has some drinks, she accidently publishes to her blog her confession of love, for her best friend, for all to see.
When he finds out that she has had the same feelings as he does things seem to start to fall into place for the two of them.
I loved how this all played out.

This is my first book by this author and I'm in love.❤️
I can't wait to check out some more of her books.
I totally recommend this one.

Tim Paige and Sierra Kline I thought both did a great job narrating this story.
it was easy to listen to them.

Cute rom com with steam

Ever live in fear that you’ll one day get drunk, write a blog post confessing all your feelings about a certain person or subject? I think in the back of our minds, all bloggers know that might happen.

This is what happens to Macy when she accidentally publishes her diary post confessing her love for her best friend, Lucas. Lucas recently got engaged to his girlfriend and Macy didn’t take it well. However, the diary post lets Lucas know that Macy feels the same way he does.

This book starts while they’re last year of college at UCLA so they’re young and have a lot of growing up to do. This book had me chuckling several times but also rolling my eyes too. If you would just communicate and not shut down, you could have avoided all the drama. But when you’re 22, that’s what you do. But they’re super hot and made for each other so you fall in love with them as a couple. And I loved the last chapter and epilogue. Lucas is a sweet romantic who’s living up to a romance reader’s expectation.

I did enjoy this storyline because best friends to lovers trope is one of my favourites. I was given a code to listen to this story as an audiobook. Tim Paige has a wonderful voice. And I loved Sierra Kline’s narration, she was perfect Macy. And her male voice is great.

Fun, quirky friends-to-lovers romance

Confessions of a Bookaholic was a fun, quirky, college friends-to-lovers romance. There was a little bit of drama, but not too much, and instead we get a good focus on the relationship between bookish Macy and her best friend since first grade, Lucas, also the start quarterback about to be drafted by the NFL.

The relationship between Macy and Lucas is exactly what you'd expect from two college kids that constantly have their wires crossed. Their strong friendship added a layer of intimacy that you don't always see because they've known each other their whole lives, and can read each other really well.

The narration by Tim Paige and Sierra Kline was really great. They conveyed the emotion, the youthfulness of the characters, the humor. It was a great listen.

Confessions of a Bookaholic

This is the story of Macy and Lucas. I like that the story is told from dual points of view so we can know what each character is thinking. Macy and Lucas have been best friends and live together. This book starts out with Macy accidently posting a private post to her book blog confessing her love for her best friend Lucas. He got engaged because he didn't think Macy felt the same way he felt about her and was moving on. Once he found out how Macy felt about him he went to his fiancée and walked in on something and broke up with her immediately.

So Macy and Lucas start seeing each other, but can they be together, or will it ruin their friendship. This book was ok, but I felt like there could be more.

SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!!

Confessions of a Bookaholic is a romantic love story between childhood best friends Macy Sinclair and Lucas Stone. Both are now students in their final year of college in California. Lucas is preparing for the NFL Draft and Macy is seeking her “dream job” at a major magazine as a writer.

It is a delightful story with high hopes, bad choices, book love and how friends can make the best and the worst decisions. Yeah, I did not like Macy forgoing her dreams to be with Lucas. I did not like Lucas going along with the ride either. So, if you ever wonder if you can like a story and not the characters so much – well yeah, it is possible. I just wanted to snap my fingers and say “Snap out of it”

Confessions’ narrators made it amazingly easy to listen to the funny banter. I listen to the audio in my car only to keep me entertain as a I drive around running errands. At some points of the story, I had to sit in the Target parking lot to finish the chapters. And the sex scenes? Wow, talking about heat. I was not expecting so much dirty fun and it is kind of funny to be waiting at the traffic light as Lucas “pokes” Macy.

Each narrator portrayed each character perfectly. So many times, the female narrator makes the male character sound like a wimp. That is not the case with Sierra Kline.

Funny and Sweet Friends-to-lovers romance

Story – 3 stars

A sweet, funny friends-to-lovers story. The witty banter between Macy and Lucas put a smile on my face. Lucas’ game was right on in swooning Macy. The sisterhood between Macy and her best friends were hilarious.

The first half of the book was right on point with the swoon, fun and steam. However, the last third of the book was just boring and frustrating. They acted like high school kids instead of the supposedly mature professionals. They were best friends that were in love with each other for more than a decade. How they didn’t know each other well enough to see through each other’s antics by now absolutely baffled me.

Audio – 4 stars
The performance by Sierra Kline and Tim Paige was excellent. I really enjoyed their narration.

I volunteered to provide an honest review of a complimentary audio copy of this book.

Fun Best Friends to Lovers Romance

Confessions of a Bookaholic was so FUN! I was immediately drawn into the story and the likeable characters of Macy and Lucas. They are best friends and live together. One night, Macy confesses her feelings for Lucas on her blog and he’s stunned to realize that she’s in love with him . He had just proposed to his girlfriend although he was secretly in love with Macy. Can they put aside all the misunderstandings and become more than best friends?

These two were a delight. The dialogue was fast-paced and so, so fun. There were so many twists and turns and so much happiness and sadness. This book was a rollercoaster and I absolutely loved it.

Lucas is totally swoonworthy except for his stunt near the end, but his heart was in a good place. I did wish they would just talk to each other a little more rather than just assuming, but that flaw helped their relationship grow in the end. That epilogue….sigh!

While I enjoyed the narration for this story, I connected more with the male narrator than the female one. Tim Paige's voice was yummy and he hit all of the right emotional notes to make me connect with the story. Sierra Kline's performance was enjoyable, but there were times that her voice inflections would take me out of the story. All in all, the performances were good and helped me get lost in the story.

If you are looking for a fun, flirty, sweet and sexy friends to lovers romance, this book is for you. You won’t regret spending a few hours with Macy and Lucas.
