I wish I had seen more Oprah and the book is really really really funny

this man has some great lines and funny observations. I have been listening to him since the last century and he still makes people laugh. great laughs.

I read this book before I happened to purchase the audio version and loved it. The voiced version didn't let me down. "Why We Suck" sounds JUST as if Leary was riffing on stage for a full 5 hours about things he hates. This might sound boring to some but trust me, it's well worth the listen.

This book made me laugh out loud. He seemed to speak out load what must people think, but can't say, because it's politically incorrect. I recommend the book (to people with a sense of humour).

What does Dr. Denis Leary bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

The use of swear words and general profanity is probably better in an audio book. You could really feel the emotion behind the words.

Several hour funny rant

What can I say, smart and cleaver rant ! I don’t agree with all his points but that’s not the point ... listen chillax and laugh along, although some really important points are made...

Denis, not at his best... but still Denis

I really liked this book. Not loved it, but really liked it. I have always found Denis funny and this book did not disappoint. Well... not much. It is not as edgy and raw as his early comedy but was like a little peak into the mans head and how he has evolved as a person.

I have listened to this book multiple times and laugh my ass of every time

Not What I Expected

I expected a long rant followed by evidence of "why we suck." Instead we get an intro, with warning, then a bunch of stories from Denis' life and a few rehashed jokes from his stand up acts. Overall, it's not terrible but still disappointing.
