Good Old, used again and again Rules.

What did you like best about The New New Rules? What did you like least?

It was short that was the best thing and it did make me chuckle at some of those good old rules that I liked from his show.
I least liked all the old content and Bill saying "New Rules" a billion times throughout the whole book! That was kind of funny at first in a pathetic kind of way...
My head was up my ass for buying this book at full price! Well at least Bill gave Obama one million bucks for his reelection.
Stick to the standup and writing for your tv show Bill, your Movie was great! Sorry but your not a none fiction author. I still love you but stick to what your good at bud.

Would you ever listen to anything by Bill Maher again?

Sure if he put some time into writing a Real book maybe I would.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I like when the writer reads their own book, but his repeating "New Rules" over and over at first was kind of funny but sure got on my nerves quick. Even while I was baked.

Could you see The New New Rules being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Hell No! A New Rules movie? Please no... It's kind of a tv show already. Maybe a spinoff like the Cleveland Show. No!

If you like Bill Marher you might like this book when it's in the discount bin or trash.Other then that save your money during these tough times he has enough money already...

Easy to get offended but what the hell...

First of all if the "F" word or any mention of sexual body parts offends you, this isn't the book for you but if you want to think of our county in a new light, give this book a try. Not only are his "rules" good advice to live by, his essays give unique ways at looking at what is presented to us on a platter in the evening news. It's worth being offended to be prodded to think.

If you've seen HBO's Real Time weekly comedy you are aleady familiar with Bill's New Rules. There is nothing new here but maybe you've forgotten or missed something. It is worth the time to listen.

If you have not seen Real Time but are a fan of Maher you are in for a treat. Bill delivers exquisite timing in his social and political humor.There is often irreverant wisdom underneath the humor and you can learn from him.

Where does The New New Rules rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This was a fun listen, forcing one to reconsider perspective on some of our everyday elements.

Pretty Good

While I did enjoy this selection of new rules, it was a bit odd having all of these little disjointed segments strung together into a "book". Bill is always good for a laugh and even a bit of intellect, but this one may best be enjoyed by those who really love Bill Maher.

What made the experience of listening to The New New Rules the most enjoyable?

You can be either party and you just have set side any differences to laugh at his introspection and honesty. I'd love to meet this guy one day for coffee. Even if you don't see eye to eye on political grounds, this is made me have to repeatedly stop during my jogging because I was laughing so hard. Nice job, Bill. (I had to ding you one star on story because I'm not a Democrat.)

Maybe five funny jokes

And I don’t even mean solid chuckles. I mean five, ehh that wasn’t as bad as the rest, “jokes”. This book is flat out bad. When I want to laugh with Bill, I’ll stick to religulous.
