review

Great narration but the book itself is quite repetitive. I feel when introducing topics such as these, there needs to be some engagement on a humorous or fascination level. Anything neuro is interesting in its own right but is often hard to digest, let alone implement by those that need it most. Would have loved a bit more 'fun' mixed in with the learning.

It has helped me

I recently discovered that I suffer from seasonal depression ,and the exercises from this book really helped me by not only more positive , but also more confident and by stopping me from being so dubious about everything. There’s a lot of technical stuff from her study , the pdf really is available.

Good information on how to deal with toxicity

I found this book fascinating and will definitely re listen and apply these steps. Her concise details didn’t need silly humor to highlight what’s happening all around. The world is angry and toxic. This may help deal with it.

Cool research, but very repetitive

Like another reviewer mentioned, the content in this audiobook is very repetitive--to the point that I wondered if I should continue at some points. Aside from that, the content does share a helpful method for reframing negative thoughts along with practical examples of how to do so. But I can't help wishing it were more concise and cut out all of the fluff. I think the author's YouTube videos on the topic of neurocycling are better in that respect.

Hire a Professional Narrator

I like the ideas in a book. However I found it a lot of work to listen to. The author should’ve hired a professional narrator. Her accent is hard to decipher, The delivery is amateurish, and the quality of the recording is poor.
