The Best. Ever.

Move over favorite P&P! This offering is the best I've heard, hands down, plus I could picture them all as they were in the movie that Rosamund was in (playing Jane). I thought I was done with this book. Rosamund showed me otherwise. Austen's powers soar with this reading.

Delightful reading of a beloved novel

I have listened to this wonderful reading of one of my favorite novels, and my only true complaint is the irritating voice the narrator chose to adopt for some very minor characters. I can appreciate an artistic choice, but it was an absolute miss for me. Otherwise, in tone and temper, no faults.

Love this version!

I'm sure I will listen again and again. I never tire of Jane Austen. The narrator did a wonderful job. I do love her accent.

Great Book

I loved listening to this audio book, narrator was quite good and changes her voice to reflect the different characters.

Fun!

This is one of my favorite books of all time and Rosamund Pike 's performance was so fun to hear, it was unexpected! Fantastic! Her personification of Lydia and Kitty was fantastic!

Beautifully done!

Rosamund did such a wonderful job! I've always loved Pride and Prejudice and I was so excited to see that she was narrating it. I loved her as Jane in the movie. This was my very first audiobook and she definitely set the bar high! If you love P&P you NEED to get this version!

To people everywhere about people anywhere. It remains one of those classic books that make it to the Top Ten of what goes with you to the deserted island with your solar panel, of course.

In this audio version it was possible to listen to Mrs. Bennet without cringing, and that's a remarkable feat.i

Not just for the ladies....

A wonderful narration of a beloved classic

I almost didn’t select this, as I know the story so well, but Pike’s lively performance made for much pleasure.

Absolutely delightful!

I am very picky with audiobooks, because a bad narration can sometimes kill even the most interesting book. I loved this book though! If you have ever seen the BBC Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth), you will like this audiobook. The voices and speech mannerisms are so similar and so in tune with the book and movie characters that you always get a detailed visual in your head. I read Pride and Prejudice before and even still I found the audio version irresistible. Highly recommend!
