Near perfect narration of classic Jane Austen
The novel is a classic and I have nothing but praise for Jane Austen. The narration by Rosamund Pike was nearly perfect. The main characters were very nicely done. I feel like I couldn’t get over some of the weird voices done for some of the secondary characters though. One female character that was particularly bad had a lisp and Mr. Collins spoke as if he were gasping for air, taking weird breaks between words like there were commas inserted there. Overall though, I enjoyed it and will not hesitate on an opportunity to hear more from Pike.

Six Stars!!! Truly a Classic!!
This was a wonderful read! I listened to it almost non-stop; it was funny, witty, romantic, and just what it ought to have been. Rosamund Pike read it beautifully and I will be hunting down her other books to listen to once I’m done with this review :).

So Much Better Even Than When You Enjoyed Reading It For School
Really lovely to enjoy this old gem now that I may be better outfitted for the sophisticated and archaic but so elegant turns of phrase than I was as a high school or college student. The writing is exquisitely clever and dry, richly ironic, at turns poignant, gorgeously observed and hilarious. The characters are, if not all equally believable and well-rounded, highly recognizable and entertaining types, beautifully playing their roles to advance the delicious storyline. Rosamund Pike’s performances are astonishing in their respectively consistent depictions and virtuosic variety of voice and personality. Wow, I love this book now more than ever. Austen was a genius.

The best love story ever.
I just love this story. I've read the book and seen several movie adaptations, and I really enjoyed listening to this Audible Book. Rosamund Pike has also narrated Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, which is to be released on August 14. I think I'll try that one next.

This is the first time I have read and listened to Jane Austen. I thought it was wonderful. I never even watched any of the movies! The narration of this version was terrific! I did not enjoy the other one.

A Capsule of Time
