Publisher's summary

The war has only just begun. While rescuing a world from Centaur control, the Marines discover that not all humans on the planet are slaves. The Children of Angels believe their masters have been sent by the gods to lift up mankind. Humanity now has two enemies, one from the farthest reaches of the Galaxy and the other from within.

The Children must be crushed before they open the door, delivering the human race to the greatest enemy we have ever known. Buckle up and strap in. The second entry in the Sentenced to War series is finally here. If you're a fan of Old Man's War or Starship Troopers, you'll love this epic military scifi thrill ride.

Very Good

Only about the first third was not as great as first book. Basically that part was about the unit doing civil service duties. The rest however was great.

Great series!

Love that book 2 and 3 dropped together! It’s a great and fun series! Nothing too complicated just good old military sci-fi.

Book 1 was a little long winded but #2 is fire!

I was a Marine for 8 year and whenever I read a book whose authors decided to use us instead of army, it really makes my heart sing. But what makes this book good is the 95% accurate terminology. It's very obvious that both authors did their research, and for most people who wouldn't know the difference those things really dont matter, but for as some who appreciate terms like "Lance coolie".... I thank yall, it really takes me back.

Great book 2!

I liked this book a lot; great continuation of the series. There was a perfect combination of both war/battles and life between battles. Some military sci-fi books are nothing but battle after battle, but this has a nice mix. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any real character development of anyone other than the main character, Rev, though. And I continue to have the same criticism of the narrator, (although he is a very popular narrator) - I get tired of the "Eeyore" inflection where his tone goes down on the end of most sentences, and I wish he would do a better job of using his voice to differentiate between characters.

I will definitely be moving on to book 3.

Loving the series

It’s fun, I like the dynamic between the main guy and his internal AI. Starship Trooper vibes
