Candy Canes with a side of murder

Sabrina and David Carlson are at her parent's house eating dinner and discussing the upcoming holidays. Always gluttons for more sweets they head to get an eggnog after. The next Sabrina and her friends are discussing the holidays when she gets a call from her manager. She heads over to her friend and when she arrives it looks like murder had come for the holidays.
Lili Dubuque has a very relaxing calming voice that personified Sabrina and brings her to life.

Sweet Christmas murder mystery novella

This is a sweet little audio story set during the Christmas holidays. Of course there is a little murder mixed in.

Quick story, cute cozy mystery

Quick story. Sabrina and her husband made a great team. I enjoyed their trust in one another, their love, their faith. The trail toward finding the killer had some twists but worked out. Lili Dubuque did a wonderful job bringing the story to life.

Fun Christmas Book

This is a quick and fun Christmas book. I listened to it as an audio book. The narrator was effective in portraying the different characters.

This was a quick light listen and perfect sized for lunchtime. It was not a deep mystery so it would not be for anyone looking for anything hard-boiled. Instead this was a quick story, wrapped up in a 50 minute audiobook. There is a lot of character dialog which doesn't leave a lot of room for plot but keeps things moving along. The dialog makes it seem like you are right there with the characters.

Occasionally it was hard to discern the characters as the narrator did not modulate voices or tones much. The story context and character personalities help to make up for this.

Thank you for a quick lunchtime escape from reality.

Sweet tooths unite!

Another short mystery from Meredith Potts. I found this one to be better written than the first two. A mystery once again but this time Sabrina takes charge and goes after the murderer on her own.
