Video Tools for Entrepreneurs
By far, the most effective form of online media...
As a species, humans are genetically-programmed to rely on subconscious, physical cues to determine who we can trust and who we should avoid. These cues include: eye contact, facial expressions, vocal intonation, and body language. Blog posts and other written content don't convey these cues. Neither do podcasts or other forms of audio. Video is the only medium that offers our prospective clients and customers a direct view into our human side. And when our videos are hosted online, they go to work for us 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
If you're an entrepreneur or small business owner with no video experience and no idea where to start, The Entrepreneur's Video Tool Guide was written with you in mind. It identifies the exact tools you need to get started and helps you build your video kit quickly and easily while keeping your budget under control.
Here are some of the topics covered in the book:
Discover the types of videos your business needs in order to be successful online, the differences between them, and which ones to focus on when starting out.
Learn the hardware components you need in order to shoot high-quality videos.
Discover the software applications required to capture, edit and process raw audio and video clips.

And thorough review of the techniques required to make good online videos. Felt the production was extremely well done. I highly recommend this book.
This book has everything you need to start your career as a YouTube sensation and then some. lots of practical advice and suggestions, always keeping the reader in mind in terms of what works best on a limited budget.
This book is highly recommended.
I will definitely take some recommendable info! Already have begun using some recommendations. I will definitely listen to this multiple times, and I have several bookmarks and notes.
I've been reading up on filmmaking for some time now, and there wasn't much in here I didn't know.
David does, however, present important information in an easy to follow way for beginners to start immediately with the tools they already have.
I'm a little jealous that I didn't create this book.
Audible.com and Kindle author; former teacher and counselor, now full-time writer and entrepreneur; degrees in Media/Radio-TV and Psychology
Yes. I'm a professional video producer and entrepreneur/writer and I have a degree in Radio-TV. So I'm not inexperienced. But Power gives you some tips and ideas that you might not think about on a regular basis.
So it's a good "read" even for those of use who do pro video and who use video regularly.
The author's opinion about which tools to use was interesting. I use other tools and don't use my smartphone that much, since I don't believe the quality is usually as good as my professional DV HD cam, but he offers some sound suggestions in how to use smart devices in a more professional way.
No. But I may get the one on podcasting too, even though I already know how to do that as well. I'm a radio announcer (real world and internet) and produce a regular radio show on both a 24/7 station and through podcasts. His book I think would remind me about the importance of podcasting to building a brand online, which is what I am trying to do.
It wasn't an emotional thing, but I love digital media and have my own digital media production company. I will link out to the book from my blog for my followers.
Good job. Sound advice for business owners.
Even if you don't agree with all of his solutions, it's something to keep and refer to when planning video for your business.
