good stuff...

The book was really good in terms of theorical and practical tools of the subject.
i've learnt much from it.
the only deficiency was the lack or too little existence of story, which the book itself revealed as a tool of charismatic presentation.
recommend it for the ones who thinks her/himself not taking from life as much as deserves.

I found the content to be valuable, though a bit drawn-out for what it really was saying. I found many helpful tips and steps to take that I've already put into practice and am seeing some results. I am sure it will take a while before it becomes natural. I am out-going, but can come off cold and I needed something to help me figure out where I was going wrong.

What other book might you compare The Charisma Myth to and why?

I would compare the book to How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie (a book I very much enjoyed). There were many parallels in the advice given by the authors. Carnegie's book offers many more examples while I felt that Cabane's book gave more details and was a bit more modern. Both have timeless advice, but if I were to suggest one over the other, it would be Carnegie's book.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Unfortunately, this is where the book really fell short the most. The narrator absolutely lacked charisma, of all things. I constantly found my mind wandering while she was reading and having to remind myself to come back to the "conversation." This is not a typical issue for me with audiobooks. It was so bad for me, that I found it ironic that she was reading the Charisma Myth. Her tone barely had any inflection, and definitely did not have a conversational tone to it. It felt like she was reading straight from the page. It is also my understanding that the author, Olivia Cabane is an accomplished speaker. I wonder why she did not choose to narrate her own publication?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, not only is the narration long and boring, but the content does require some division and time to "digest" between topics.

With a different narrator, I may have been more impressed with this title. As stated, I did learn some new pointers...I was just underwhelmed with the presentation.

I got this book during the “bogo” sale and now know why it was on sale... there was nothing new or original about it.
