Covey does it again! Great insight and useful templates to put together a real program for my team to work on their wildly important goals. I was able to put this to actual practice with my team and set standards for following up on our most important issues we face to make our company and team work more efficiently.
Truly very helpful.
I love how they go into detail to help you get started in getting your team on board with these ideas. Very helpful if your teams have been struggling to attain certain goals.
This is a great book that simplifies the very complex topic of improving execution.
I'm buying this book for my team!
The abridged version of this audiobook is all you need. I can't imagine what more they would pack into the full version. The abridged version provides you with a breakdown of the 4 diciplines with some nice illustrative stories about their use and pitfalls. Next the book shows you how to put them into practical use. I have found it easy and effective to apply the info within. I recommend this book.
Many of the ideas are applicable across several disciplines and business types.
I actually found the idea of tracking lead and lag measureables a great method of predicting your overall performance. This would obviously help a leader to stay more engaged with the action.
I see a use for these methods in our church and helping to generate growth.
Takes the topic beyond philosophy. Actually provides tools that can be quickly and easily implemented. System will focus teams throughout an organization to be high achievers.
After listening to this book, I didn't have any "AH-HA!" moments but it helped me organize and collect the thousands of thought running through my head. Very easy read, concise, and powerful implications. Considering how short it is, I would strongly recommend picking it up! I have already started utlizing the key points throughout the book for my team and it seems to have some impact, and most importantly, my team has a stronger foundation due to the principles.
Great take on how have people motivated and accountable for their actions with regards to projects and day to day work activities.
Yes, I would recommend the book to a friend.
The book was told with great tonality and emotion that nothing was lost in the content.
This is probably the only business book I don't intend to listen to again. The first reader was intolerable after the first chapter or two. He speaks too quickly and lacks proper pause between ideas and thoughts, making it hard to absorb content. Slowing to half speed improved it a little, but I ended up skipping to the next reader.
