"A little bit of genius that will help you learn speed reading with ease." (New Archaeology [USA])
"An excellent product. The methods taught work extremely well, and you should be able to see enormous improvements to your reading and comprehension." (Gerry Keegan, Psychology, UK web magazine)
So much to learn, and so little time to sit down and read. Thanks Audible.
I love audible because I seldom have time to sit down and read a book, but when I do have time to read I want to make the most of it. I treated this book differently than most I listen to. I sat at my desk with the provided printout and "went to school". The book has lots of activities it asks you to do. By the end of this short book I did improve my speed, but more than that I learned what things I need to keep improving if I want to read significantly faster. I believe this book was a very good investment of my time.
At first I questioned if I wanted to use one of my credits on a book that was just over an hour, but this program is so efficient that that is all it takes.
I am dyslexic and have ADD bad. I was reading below the average rate yet my hunger for knowledge desperately wanted me to learn to speed read. I love to read dispute my disability. I do a little each week and now I am reading at a rate twice as fast as the average and retaining so much more.
Jane is very clear. I read another book on speed reading a long time ago. It didn't work. It was really just skimming the book.
Jane and her husband are there for you. They are sweet and answered my questions by email.
I learned that I can pick up more meaning of what I am reading without even reading every word.
I also recommend the memory success book by Jane.
Well I did enjoy it and learnt quite some new tricks.
Would love to listen a book from Jane - clear and concise voice
Yes it did
Generally it was a above average listen. I would have wanted more
The reader was entertaining, the material worth it to me and the story kept me interested. I've only been practicing what I learned for a few weeks now and I can see that I am improving. There is no magic pill one can take to improve in anything we undertake. It requires practice. If you want to improve your reading skills, you must practice. I suggest you download the attached material and use it to guide you along. Worth the buy.
Finally a book about reading that doesn't suppose to read hundreds of pages before getting the idea. Just a half hour and you read the book, in the
Say something about yourself!
This was a very interesting book that provided good insights into speed reading and how to best apply the techniques. The reader's accent added a very nice touch to the presentation.
"A great way to get into speed reading"
This excellent audio book has shown me that you can 'Speed Read' the most arduous of reports and actually improve your understanding of the subject. I listened to it over the course of a week and witnessed an improvement almost immediately. I have now made sure that all my team are using the same skills I have learnt. I'd recommend Speed Reading for Success to anyone who is new to or sceptical about the idea of speed reading. The exercises are easy to follow and are backed up with intelligent explanations and examples. The history bit at the start is interesting too.
"Get a hardcopy"
This is a book with a bit of background, and then instructions how to speed read with plenty of excersizes to do.
The book itself is actually quite good, it just simply doesn't work well in audio.
Go get a hardcopy instead!
"waste of money"
no, the voice is highly irritating, not even slightly relaxing, she seems to love the sound of her own voice. i had to turn off after a few mins cos it irritated me
it makes no difference i would never buy another title by her
