Definitely worth a read/listen

It's a great book. I especially enjoyed the bit on psychology. Bonds aren't my thing but great stories none the less.

Great look into many ways to succeed in the market

Jack Schwager has done immensely valuable work compiling the experiences and methods of such a variety of traders. This book contains pertinent and immediately useful information for anyone interested in the markets.

Jack brings some advantages and disadvantages to the narration; having the original audio tapes from the interviews, I often found myself thinking the narration sounded like I was sitting in the room myself! However, there are several blatant editing errors such as double takes or editing comments that are somewhat jarring. In addition, there are no vocal differences between the various interviewees, and barely enough to distinguish the two parties talking - when there is a rapid back and forth session of dialog it can be difficult to distinguish who said what.

Overall I would still highly recommend this book and it's audio format to anyone interested in investing or trading.

I was about to give up on trading, then I started listening to this audiobook. I realized several actions that are wrong on my side and listening to the market wizards made me understand that this is a process this is a business and risk management is vital to survive these wild markets. Do not give up, give this book a listening, it's worth every single second.

Great book

Follow your system. All of them were just lucky in a bull market. Take no f skills. Not all but still.

Great book; poor reading

What made the experience of listening to Market Wizards the most enjoyable?

The concept and the content are excellent. The performance is irritating. I'm shocked no one caught two things in particular: First, "Keynesian" is pronounced "Cane-see-an" not "Kensianism"! Anyone with some economics would know that. Second, there are several places where the studio conversation is not edited out and you can hear things like "reading the interview answers now, go".

A wealth of knowledge

Would you consider the audio edition of Market Wizards to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, not yet anyway.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It was a book of interviews, and I feel I learned a few things from each one.

Have you listened to any of Jack D. Schwager’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not, but I am considering some of his other work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I rarely listen for that length of time. This book flowed very well. When I was at the end of the audio, I wanted it to continue.

Any additional comments?

I will listen to this audio again. There were times where the information was a bit over my head, being a beginning trader, but that did not discourage me. I would rather have it that way, than the other. Also, this book I am pretty sure was not the "updated" version, which showed every once in a while, but don't let that dissuade you from listening.

Because these interviewees were some of the best traders of all time, I highly recommend this audio to anyone interested in investing, at any stage of the game.
